Pros
- Richmond's hype
- Hampson (Robbie Warnock probably the only one to disagree)
- Yarran (Does some amazing things and has the silkiest of silky skills)
- Judd (Quiet by his standards, but it just didn't matter)
- Simpson (Keeps on keeping on)
- Kreuzer (Is there any Carlton male fans who don't have a man crush on the big fella)
- Garlett (Has gone past Eddie IMO, in terms of consistency of performance, does the 1%ers well)
- Carrots (Did a cracking job on Cotchin once moved on him, prob did enough for NRS nomination too)
- Withstood their fightback (Even better, ran out game and extended our previous game high margin)
- Robbo (Seems to always make an impact now, developing well)
- Lucas (Rapted to see him make the impact he did with limited game time)
- Bower (Nothing brilliant, just a good serviceable game to help build confidence)
- Murphy (Judd says he's our best mid now, I think he's actually right)
- Gibbs (Not a fair dinkum game breaker yet, but a vital cog)
- Laidler (Tough as guts!)
- Armfield (Best set of steak knives in the league)

Cons
- Waite reported (WTF, at first I thought he'd be gone, but lack of alternate options may save him?)
- Concentration (Dropped off a bit and allowed them back into game)
- Goalkicking (Missed too many gettable shots)
- Yarran (Often tries/does too much. Needs to get out of his head quick smart that he's always faster than opponents)

Noticed that their rooms looked like you'd see after a GF loss, not round 1. So much for just "going through the processes and improving" bla bla. This loss will hurt them.

Yes, as a big guy myself I felt that too. Still, Ch7 didn't cross more than about a Brazilian times to Megs in the stands!

Kruezer, what a heart and determination this kid has
Laidler, normally shorter than his opponent and possibly slower but what a great reader of the play and great body work
Simpson, such a light fram but one of the hardest players in the team, very good early
Gibbs, composure and unbelievable awareness
Murphy, plenty of the ball but it seemed he turned it over a few times, worked his way in to the game
Bower, composed and good dispossal
Armfield, gut running, gives 100%
Carrazzo, ball magnet, yes he does turn it over but he can definitely find the pill
Hammer, what a monster, his confidence will be growing and he will only get better

How about that flog, Grigg running in to Gibbs after they scored a goal. Iactually rate Grigg's football ability but as a person on the field he is an absolute tosser.

Pro. HAMMER. Could be the difference this year. Just a couple of moments that made me think he is finally realising what he is capable of

Same here. :banghead:

Thought Curnow did well, was caught a couple of times early but didn't drop his head & went on to have a productive game.

Biggest pro is it's obvious we have plenty of improvement in us...we'll need it.

Just great to have footy back!

Slightly unrelated to this thread, but Hammer is one of at least a dozen examples of why people should lay off Israel Falou. Guys like this need time and if people cannot see the benefit of having Izzy on the field for GWS, even if he needs to be carried, then they are unbelievably short sighted.

Anyway, Hampson has the physique to make him unstoppable. Not sure he'll ever be truly elite, but if he can become a very good footballer that will benefit our list enormously.

The real footy is back.
Richmond came at us and we took the game away from them
Bower and Hammer and Kreuzer
Love the footy on the radio
Smiling when Lance's cousin weaves his magic
Cons
Poor kicking for goal
No delayed telecast in Beijing
