Are you guys listening to On the Couch?

Apparently the sky is falling. Really poor 'analysis', even by their standards.

Carrying on about the losses to date, with only the merest throwaway mention that we essentially took a glorified VFL team up there.

Unbelievable. Gerard the only one of them who seems to have looked at the team sheets we've submitted each week.

Haven't seen it, but would expect that from Sheehan. He was critiquing sides after the 1st round of 20/20 matches.

But Roos - despite his obvious dislike for the club - of all people should be the first person to be dismissing pre-season form considering his disregard for the competition in his Sydney days.

Zach Touhy & Andrew Collins are two who have improved from last year.

Betts looks like he is ready to assume Miline's tag as the best small forward in the comp.

Henderson looks ready to become a AA backman.


I agree. I'd also add the big boys in Kreuzer, Hammer and Casboult. And Lucas. But it's all been fairly steady and gradual improvement. None of our fringe players are demanding a spot in the team. And none of our established players have shown quantum leap improvement. On admittedly limited viewing so far, not sure it's going to be enough.

Robbo is one of he few journos I actually like. Happy that he is bullish, concerned that the players might get ahead of themselves - they have a history of that. Biggest concern - injuries. Too many players under done at the moment.
