The bummers got what seemed like 5 minutes of coverage on multiple tv channels last night. Must have been a slow news day.

Wouldn't mind one of those t-shirts without the number on it.

So is Sean getting royalties or something for this?

From August 2010:

For the sake of the vector the shirts are a bit lighter, obviously they'd be navy blue.

For your consideration:

(If you look closely the traditionalists have been appeased. I thought it a nice touch to include the old logo). These are just a selection of names. Obviously I've missed plenty, but the club wouldn't.

Thoughts?

I suppose they'd change "dominator" to "Johnno" or whatever. But Sticks, Braddles etc could be options.

With all due respect to Sean, it's hardly a ground-breaking design.

So you reckon someone at the club came up with the idea on their own?

I reckon they implemented Sean's idea after he sent it in.

I wasn't being serious about the royalties, but I was about the or something.

Just wondering if he was being acknowledged somehow.

With all due respect to Sean, these have been around for years and I believe he was basing his design from them...

I know that's where he got the idea from.

That doesn't change my point or question.

I think it's a fair point Lurker raised. But, given how common those t-shirts are, it's also a fair assumption that yes, the club could have come up with the idea independently, or coincidentally to Sean sending in his idea.

Almost identical to Sean's, right down to the older logo in the number on the back.

Except it's not the older logo.

When they start coming out with CFC pencil cases that's when he'll be in the money.

To clarify for everyone, I'm not being critical of the club here.

I just think the club got the idea from Sean, and was wondering if he could confirm that was the case.

I think the club adopting supporters suggestions is a good thing.

the fact that they have the logo on the number has me pretty convinced that they went with his suggestion. I wouldn't mind one, but doubt that the quality would last a season.

They may well have gone with his suggestion.
They may have called him and offered him a life membership.
We won't know unless he comes back!
Not sure why this discussion is occurring!
