At the risk of being a broken record, this was our best and most important GF win ever. EVA. EVA. EVA.

It was a great win, but I think you should leave Eva out of this.

Eva? I wouldn't know her from Adam!

seems i'm in the minority on this one, but i would love for it to be shown that the call was correct.

perhaps i'm getting thin skinned as the years advance, but i've become fed up with all the asterix getting placed alongside our club's achievements

fat eddy's "gags" on the harmes tap have had their desired result. it's accepted by the footy community that the ball was out AND that sheldon's goal was the winner. i even heard that big mouth andrew gaze refer to the 79 win as cheating :screwy:

going by fat eddy's comments on ch 10 last night, his effort to discredit judd's brownlow win last year isn't about to stop any time soon. he premiered his new gag for it last night, that it was lovely to see judd finally present swan with last years medal.

fat billy brownless makes no secret of his desire to have the 95 flag stripped from us ... no-one seems to ever tell billy that the breaches didn't cover that period ... unlike Essendon* in 93

Yep , the Judd comments last night showed a distinct lack of class by Eddie. Cover's it up as a gag, but he know's what he trying to achieve, it does't reflect well on him.

Anyway, I look at it the other way. All these references mean these thing's still hurt these numpties.

Yes.
I noticed how ed trid to spin it that they actually decided to move Mick into the director role, because they were worried about his health.
Apparently Saint Ed created the new role, out of love and concern for the entire Malthouse family.
It had nothing to do with the fact that it didn't look like Mick could get them the Cup at the time.
Nope...Collingwood...the Caring Club.
Gee...I just teared up in wonder at the boundless compassion of that man.

Take a chill pill, Maxy. It's in the record books. There is always a tiny but vocal minority who play the woulda coulda shoulda game, but you and I and they and everyone else knows that if yer auntie had balls he'd be yer uncle. SCOREBOARD!!!! Only thing that matters. The rest is just hot wind.

I would hardly be worrying about what Billy Brownless (and particularly Andrew Gaze  ) think about our achievements.

I actually didn't mind that gag from Eddie, it's just a bit of banter, no point taking it too seriously.

As for the actual Harmes incident, in sport, the whole ball has to have crossed the whole line in order for it to be out of play. Unless it can be shown conclusively that the whole ball crossed the whole line, the ball can't be deemed to have gone out of play. As this can't be shown conclusively, the ball is in play and the goal is legitimate.

Not to mention all the crap about what an inspirational, selfless hero Dayne Beams is. Gimme a break. He played a shocker last week, to match all the shockers he's had in finals so far in his career. He was going to get dropped anyway. Groin injury my arse.

Eddie's hurting BADLY BADLY BADLY BADLY!!!! Serves the flower right. He never admits he's wrong and always takes the moral high ground. On BTG, his new line about MM is that he's concerned for Mick's health and it's up to him and Nanette to get Mick to smell the roses. What a load of effluent! The best thing about yesterday's win was that Collingwood will not be referred to as the 'reigning premiers' for at least 12 months....and they know that Carlton, Hawthorn and WC are breathing down their necks.
The Colliwobbles are back. 1 flag in their last 4 attempts. Let's hope it all ends in tears with Bucks. At some point, the supporters are going to ask questions about MM's tenure and the distractive effect it may have had on the players. Nice innovation Ed!!!!

Agree.
If there was a new reality show called Top Spin...Ed would win.

Marcou should have got a free for in the back about 12 yards out from the goal only a couple of minutes later. That would silence the morons. THAT was about as in the back as a free can get, and yet it was called play on.
If you have to bleat, then pay this one and.... the result doesn't change. We win. They don't. That is how it should be.

McConnville gets paid a mark at the 26th minute of that last quarter and Allan Edwards doesnt kick their last goal to get them within 5 points.

In any case its time we stick up for our club and stop Eddie McGuire and the general football public re-write history.

Its time to take back ownership of the 87 and 95 Premierships - they are ours and were won fairly and squarely.

Its time that the 79, 81 and 82 Premiership Sides are rightly acknowleged as one of the greatest Football sides of all time and more than equal of the Essendon* side of 84/85  and the Hawthorn sides of the 80's.

Its also time that the 68, 70 and 72 Premiership Sides also take their place in history as one of the great sides.

Judd WAS the Brownlow Medallist of 2010 - and if it wasnt for the bleating of the McGuire adn the Collingwood unwashed the umpires would have again voted for Judd in 2011 in an arguably a better season than he had in 2010.

McGuire unless you can prove the ball was out in the 1979 Grand Final - then shut the @#$%&! up.
