Not our best side, but credit to Ratts and the MC for only picking FIT players. Based on this, I suspect that Jamo will come out at the last minute.

The lack of a second ruck is a concern, but better than picking a token player for "balance".

Finals are won with experience, strength, talent and willpower. We have it over the Dons for this.

Essendon* have one or two that are not 100%. Gambling talent vs fitness. I think we are good enough regardless. No excuses.

I think Bower is listed only to cover for Jamison and Thornton as both missed last week injured, if both of those guys come up Bower will stay as emergency.

Brett comes in to allow himself and Setanta to rotate into the ruck and give Robbie a rest while still having a tall forward. He also gives us an option to go to the backline as a tall if needed.

Davies was only in to cover injuries last week and only had an average game so will be one of the first out.

The other omission comes from either Lucas or Ellard, I guess we see if we need more outside run or inside grunt? Lucas played a pretty good match last week IMHO so probably Ellard to be the last emergency.

Sub to be one of Lucas or Mitch, perhaps we leave it to Mitch so we can "unleash" him in the thrid quarter, imagine that, he'd be so wound-up by then he would launch himself like an Exocet missile off the bench

I am really glad we have not taken any chances with injured or underdone players

If there are no late withdrawls then I think our defence and mid-field are fine to cope with whatever the bummers throw at us, the problem yet again is what sort of attitude our forwards bring to the game on Sunday. Thornton, Setanta, Walker, Betts & Garlett are our most inconsistent players when it comes to forward play.

I think we will have the best possible team on the park aside from our injured players, so no excuses...

I see Waite, Hampson, White and Watson all named in the Ants team for Sunday, once again I like the fact we are not rushing in underdone players...

They've got to bring Ellard back. We got monstered in the hard stuff against the Aints in H2, bring in Ellard to lay 6-8 tackles, mitigate Hocking who can be effective, then bang it forward to Thornton and Irish and we'll be right. Curious to see what happens with Lucas... sub sounds good, but a spare tall could be handy.

It would be a dream come true wouldnt it.

I reckon if fetcher plays after only not playing for 2 weeks with a hammy we should play through his man. Work it so he gets a small opponent and then run him ragged. He will be struggling by half time and cooked not long after it.

Pears will be lucky to see out a game as will Watson. Hurley will be lucky/unlucky to get picked as his foot could fracture at any stage and put him out for as long as that foot injury kept Hird out.

Hocking will be underdone too. Wont keep up with Judd.

It will be tight early but we will run over them.

I want Robbo to go to Tripper Fletcher just to piss him off again.

It's a shame Jordan Bannister was omitted after only one game too.

We'll win it cause of the attitude Murphy displayed in the HUN this morning.

Not interested in how many games we won in the regular season or subtly re-calibrating Ratten's KPI just in case. They're here to play and win finals.

Kruz will NOT play again in 2012! I think the kid needs a really good spell & a huge preason!

Our team has speed, speed & spread is what will kill these germs!

Hail rain or shine, they will get belted!

Blues by 38points!

Bench listed as: Bower, Carrazzo, Ellard, Robinson, Lucas, Davies, Tuohy

Robbo and Carrazzo are certain starters for mine.
Don't think we need the extra height of Bower unless we're doubtful about Jamo's fitness. So I think he misses.
I think the other starter will be Tuohy.
Bit of a raffle for the sub - I'd use Lucas cos I think he has the capacity to be more damaging than the others.
So all up the changes would be:
Ins: Jamison, Carrazzo, Thornton
Outs: Kreuzer, Davies, Russell

 Spot on I reckon Braddles... Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

And with rain expected all weekend I'm not so sure why people are that worried about the Rucks.. Thornton will play forward and as for Setanta, yes he's not that great in the ruck, but he won't be as exposed in the ruck if it is wet...

Anyway, we have enough class around the ball to smash this mob, with or without Kreuzer!!

We would be crazy to pick hampson for an AFL final this weekend, he is way too underdone and would get found out fitness wise pretty quickly. If he can play out a strong four quarter effort in the Ants on sunday against Orren Stephenson then I might consider him for seniors the week after...

They've got to bring Ellard back because we were monstered in the hard stuff? We won the contested possessions, had a small loss in the clearances. We had more possessions and a heap of marks.

That tells you we played too safe with the football and saw little for it. Ellard isn't going to bring the ball to ground in a pack, he's just going to nip around and annoy the odd clearance player. With Lucas back and in form, Carrazzo in the team to support Judd & Mitch, I don't see how he's of use. If Curnow was in form his combination of pace and strength over the ball would be welcome but Ellard is lacking his normal zip.

Particularly against Essendon*, I just don't see the point of punishing Lucas or Armfield to bring back Ellard. He'll be an emergency.
