Reckon Scum could give Coasters a shake this weekend
And Crows are revitalised so could push Coasters in R24

How funny would it be if COasters lose to Scum and Crows and we lose to Dorks but beat Saints so we still get double chance

Reckon the Lions at the Gabba are a better chance than the scum....

Could be.

I was glad the Dee's at least made WCE work for their victory after half time. Hopefully, even if the results don't go our way, these teams give each other some good workings over and the strain begins to show.

The word I've heard is Carlton have been promised the first game of finals at the MCG due to our travel interstate the past two years for our first final game.

I have a gut feeling the AFL are in the early stages of giving us collingwood type favours and will give us the MCG in the hope we make it deep into the finals.

I hope that is true but as there is no way all 4 games can be played at the MCG. I cant work out which other game could be played at Etihad. I am assuming we will be playing either North, Freo or the Swans so this is the only possible game that could be played there.

I'll gladly accept any allowance the AFL gives us in terms of venue.

I just don't see Vlad and the gang setting a precedent for venue selection they can't justify.

I have always thought we would have to beat the Filth in the GF but have changed my mind.

We will undeservedly finish 5th.

The Wea-girls will pull a major upset and beat Pies in week one

Then we shove the Filth out in straight sets on our way to #17

The justification is that we finished higher than 6th v 7th and should get the venue to hold more of our supporters.

Agree!!! Actually who have we beaten really of note?? Especially in the top 8? Swans, Bombers (one out of two) and the Saints (when they were a rabble early season.....and only just!!!). Anyone else I'm missing?? Maybe the kangaroos were in the eight at the time.

Hawks will win this week as we are just not there yet as a contender.

Who has Hawthorn beaten?

Eagles by a kick or two in Tassie. Lost to Geelong and Pies, so the argument can go a few ways!

Over the past few weeks we have had to beat teams who have either been in the eight at the time, ie. Essendon*, Fremantle or have been fighting for 8th spot, North Melbourne. Add StKilda & Sydney to this list, close matches against Magpies & Cats and what else do we have to do to justify we are a bloody good team?
I bet we beat Hawthorn and still hear the excuses about them missing key players and that will be from our own supporters.

Fail to see why you would think that.

Waite, Hampson, Jamison underdone, Kruezer returning from a knee reco, 6 days after a trip to Perth. We have some pretty good excuses too mate !!

Well, fifth it is then... and it's where we belong tbh

Unable to play enough good quarters against the better teams which resulted in zero wins against the top 4 this year.

Winning our first final is imperative, regardless of opposition or venue otherwise this season will fast become a disaster despite our good win/loss ratio.

Yep, at least we know right now we'll finish 5th. No need to expend any further energy on worrying about top 4.

Have 3 weeks to prepare for the Elim.

We weren't too bad against Collingwood in Rd 3 and we all know we should have won against Geelong - terrible against WC and Hawthorn overall though.

However with the exception of the Dogs we've been beating all the teams we SHOULD beat which is something we failed to do last year.

I wonder when we'll know our opponent in the elim?
