Simmo for sure. Followed by Jamo, Hendo and Bower.

My favourites are normally your tough, brave, courageous types....Stephen Silvagni, Peter Dean, Dean Rice, Matthew Hogg, Adrian Hickmott, which means naturally I like Mitch and Duigan.

Walker was a favourite from Day 1, being the first step in our re-building, still up there now.
Bower will always be a favourite because of the way he takes the game on (and maybe a soft spot because we sponsor him).
Murphy was my favourite from his first game because there really was no one else.

But right now, if I was still putting numbers on the back of my jumper, it'd be #38....great story where he's come from and to be honest, he's the most exciting player in the AFL.

Yazz is my fav as he makes time stand still. However Duigan is also my fav as he represents what I love about our football club: courageous and ruthless

Favourite now- Kroooz, just love how he never stops competing.

Recently retired favourite- Kouta

All time favourite- Bruce Doull. Still the coolest guy in the universe, and the reason why I barrack for the Blues

Agree.

Anyone of Toovey, Gartlett, Laidlaw, Doogan or the '#1's' for me.

This is how I work out who my favourite player is. If I was a kid, what number would I have on my back?

I get #38 too

The player that turned me into a "Blue" was Scott Camporeale.
Most of you will be hating on "Campo" but i will forever love him. (not just because he's my cousin either) lol but because when he was drafted to the Baggers in '95, thats when i started following Carlton.

Sure enough, when he left, i was shattered. However, i am still loyal to my club and always will be! Even if im over here in Adelaide!

Numbers I had or would've had on my back since following Carlton:

1964 - No 1 - Serge Silvagni
1965 - No 39 - Cliff Stewart
1966 - 1967 - No 32 - Bryan Quirk
1968 - 1973 - No 17 - Brent Crosswell
1974 - 1978 - No 42 - Robert Walls
1979 - 1981 - No 43 - David McKay
1982 - 1983 - No 4 - Peter Bosustow
1984 - 1986 - No 36 - Mark Maclure
1987 - 2001 - No 21 - Craig Bradley
2002 - 2009 - No 25 - Brendan Fevola (what can I say...)
2010 - No 33 - Ryan Houlihan
2011 - No 1 - Andy Walker

I've come full circle. I looked back and thought "when watching us play, who's the player I most wanted to do well, and felt like I actually knew him?" In the case of Stewart, I actually did know him - he was my teacher at Prinny Hill.

These days I love em all, but when I really thought about it, Walker is the one that I watch in anticipation. Every week I want him to take a speccy, I want him to kick 10 goals, and I want him to kick the winning goal. He hasn't let me down much.

funny that, I had the great man Brent Crosswell as both history and maths teacher, and footy coach at Wesley. (and Clarkson was my P.E teacher same year, while Peter German was the janitor!! no shit! (circa 91-92)
