How so? Was the Etihad deal solely his to make? I'm not familiar with the details that's why I ask....

All that happened on Black Saturday has culminated into where we are now - challenging the top teams for the ultimate prize. We are what we are now because of what happened then - it's been nearly 10 years since and many thought it would take this long and a lot thought we wouldn't survive.

As I said to the media the next day outside Princes Park, when they threw the mics in front of me for comment, this would make the club stronger and make 17 all the more sweeter. We are back and some!!!

Funnily enough Agro i tried to add that to the comments on the article by saying

"What a fantastic idea, institute the Melbourne Storm rule in the AFL. By the way do any of the ignorant folks posting comments about Carlton understand their breaches were for 1998-2001. Essendon* however should lose the 1993 premiership as they were in breach. Blues outright leaders on 16 premierships!"

unfortunately it wasnt published

I've made comment too pointing out only one team was found cheating the cap in a premiership year.

Everyone should comment the same....they can't ignore everyone.

Like it or not, this is our history, so pretty important to get the facts right.

Carlton's financial forecasts on the move away from Princes Park indicated it would reap more than $24 million over 10 years in playing at the MCG and Telstra Dome from seasons 2005-2014.

When the same costings formula was applied to Princes Park, it suggested less than $14 million would be returned, and that a costly refurbishment of the venue also was required.

The club made a profit of just $2,000 when just 22,254 spectators attended the Round 21 Carlton vs. Melbourne match of 2004 at Princes Park. Incidentally, Andrew Carrazzo's first game. I'd suggest Collo's and the clubs' hands were well and truly tied.

They can and they did - this particular story is always fluffed with the "Herald-Sun Story Translator".

Because Ron "Conflict of interest and big a serial cheat, liar and corporate flog and I can say that because he's dead" Evans still has too many mates looking after his reputation and his flog of a club.

Curious the number of mentions we get in an article that's supposed to cover all AFL teams

Quote:
THE AFL has signalled a crackdown on third-party deals, but Chris Judd's lucrative Visy deal will remain untouched.

***

The Blues have been told Visy can continue using Judd as an ambassador and paying him his yearly sum.

***

Anderson said Judd would not have to stop his deal with Visy.

"They were ticked off under previous arrangement before these guidelines were issued by Ken," he said.

***

Former Carlton president Ian Collins this week hit out at the salary cap penalties handed out in 2002, but Anderson says the league is ever-vigilant.

"I am not sure if we have stamped it out. We hope it's the case ... I don't think the AFL makes apologies for severe sanctions for systematic rorting of the salary cap, and any club which does go there can expect severe sanctions."

Why does Graeme "The Great Defender of the Average Consumer" Samuel condone the price gouging for food at the football?

Yep, Ralphy and the HUN couldn't help themselves, in the opening paragraph, too.

Matthew Pavlich is a "brand ambassador" for a home loans company in Perth which you think would be a similar arrangement to Judd's deal with Visy. No mention of that.
