This morning the MCG said:

Less than 1500 public reserved seats remain on sale for #aflbluespies next Saturday. We expect these to be sold today, so act fast! #MCG

So I'd find 1000 seats left conservative if anything..

Going with my old man (a filth supporting MCC member) and we've got our seat booked ground level, on the wing :smoking:

oh you poor thing!!
your childhood must have been horrific.
was you mum a blues supporter, or did you escape once the brainwashing wore off?

Not only that, my brother's a Richmond supporter. I actually chose Carlton to spite him when we were kids (Carlton was the anti-Richmond) and it went from there.

Up until last year, Dad was pretty quiet for some reason

I'll be hoping we smash them even more now.
imagine being in the MCC..with everyone expecting the Pies to win..
and we get 'em.
Imagine the entire Ponsford stand sooking!
even better..imagine not having to listen to that confounded chant!

I went to the Collingwood Hawthorn game last Sunday and they didn't do it once during the game but I had to listen to it before the match and during the breaks on the PA countless times. They were putting it on as the quarter started so if you were watching it on tv you would think it's the crowd but it's not.

We have a large but apathetic supporter base... something our membership department need to focus on because 43k is way too low for a club that is second only to the Filth for total H/A attendances, the 3-4 years I might add.

As for this game, secured Q15 about 3 weeks ago...

My mum is a black and white supporter and had the courage to tell me she was a cheer squad member as a teenager in the 70s.

Although weirdly she hadn't said much about Collingwood until this year.

Good thing dad was a Carlton supporter and showed me to the light side. Although my two brothers are Hawthorn and Richmond so I don't know what happened there.

PS - for MCC members, gates will now be opening at 11.00am rather than 11.30am.

For those intending to walk up on the day;

They are also going to have the ticketing system going for level one, in addition to the usual areas outside Committee/Long room and FGS bar.

Is there really only standing room left?

I feel slightly stooged that I’m a social club member and I can’t get tickets more than a week out from the game. No ones fault I guess, I guess it goes to show the sleeping giant is awakening. This is the biggest home and away game of the year.
Are there going to be any walk up tickets on the day if we get there early enough?
