Austin? I thought it was Davies. That's what the guy next to me kept calling him...

Egirls run home is good. Probably only lose 1 more game for the year. We need our best 22 in the side to win. That is never going to happen, there is always injuries.

We drop the pies game, Egirls (last years wooden spooners) go past us. We have bye 2 rounds before end of season and play Hawks around that time too.

Whilst the team is playing well, Andrew Carrazzo's deficiencies as a footballer
are camouflaged by those around him.
On down days like today, it becomes plainly obvious that Andrew is a C grader footballer
at best.

I assume the reason the club recruited Mitchell Watson and Mcarthy is because it foresaw the likelihood of days like today.
We will need these guys to develop to win a flag.
O'hailpin must play for the rest of the year. Whatever his deficiencies he gives you a contest each week. I am not sure Hendo, Warnock & Austin can guarantee that.
Let's be realistic we are going to struggle to beat Hawthorn let alone Geelong or Collingwood in a final.
West Coast is a 50/50.

I went to todays game not expecting to win.
Insipid first half and we should have been alot further behind.
We played 15 minutes of good footy for the whole day.
We looked tired and flat. Injuries have taken a toll i think.
Scotland was our best by a mile.
Top 4 is now no certainty, just had a look at WCE draw, they only play 2 teams in the top 8 for the rest of the season. These teams are Melbourne and Geelong. They could easily win 7 of their last 9 games.
Hope Jamo is okay as he is vital to our chances. I hope this is just a small blimp and not he beginning of a slide.

Could tell we were going to lose after the first 10 minutes....
Just so happened that everything that could ve gone wrong did go wrong...
Of all the things to lose going into a game against WCE, we lose two of our best defenders (Jamo and Duigan), our in form ruckman (Hammer), and two of our hardnut mids (Robbo and Curnow)...
The Eagles exploited our lack of quality in all these areas, but what was disappointing mot for me was our constant skill erros. Our kicks into the foward 50 m area were quite pathetic. Only 3 marks inside 50 for the whole game compared to 17 or 18 for them... That about says it all..
On a positive note, Scotland tried his best all day and was our BOG, Murph was ok, Hendo I think did ok when shifted in defence (but another quiet game overall is concerning), and Yazz did ok again (although he does tend to get a bit cocky with his speed and get himself unnecessarily into trouble at times)..
Need Waite, Duigan, Curnow, Robbo and Laidler back quick smart... hell id even bring in big Setants ahead of Warnock, who I was very disappointed with today... For a big man, he's as soft as butter...
Gotta be on our game from the start against the Tigers, coz if we're not and we give them a sniff, we could easily drop another game and fall out of the Top 4....

Possibly more. They will push the Cats over here. Just like the last 2 years where we blew the chance for a home final, today we blew a chance to give us the double chance in the finals. Do the ladder predictor, we could end up playing Melbourne or Saints in an elimination final....

I know they have come out and said that Ratt's next contract isn't tied to winning a final, but if we are eliminated in week 1 again what will happen? Are we going to use injuries as an excuse? All the talk that if it was a final a few of the boys that missed out today could have played.... what a load of crap. Why would we take injured players into a final? If they were fine and "rested" that is unbelievable. What sort of message would that send to the team?

The effort today was unacceptable. We carried on the 4th quarter form from the week before. Doesn't bode well for this week.

That's what I said earlier in the year but the way we have been playing of late, I thought I may have spoken too soon. With a fully fit side and a match hardened Kreuzer, and I still think we are close but I always thought the idea of Henderson clicking in the forward-line was a bit of a folly. I still think a few more talls, for insurance, wouldn't go astray.

I said before the game when Robbo went out that someone needed to stand up and fill his desperation at the contest...but, they didn't.

What the hell is wrong with Warnock - he is useless at the moment. I can't believe he is not performing when Hammer was kicking ass the last few weeks - you would think he would have some fight to take back #1 ruck, but nope.

Gee I hope we don't lose Curnow, Duigan and Robbo again and I hope Jamo is not serious.

We better belt Richmond next week

Get a grip. If we wanted to fire our best shot we would've had a number of players who missed playing.

Fact is we had a two game break with a strategic opportunity to have a light week on the track and rest some players. That's the benefit of a great first half of the season.

If we lose to Richmond come and tell me to worry.

I can't believe most of you lot are writing off the rest of the year based on one crap game.

Today was probably the worst we've played all year. I admit I still thought we would win but we were ripe for picking this week with so many changes.

If we play like this the next two weeks then you can all have licence to whinge.

Disappointing that we're not a chance to win the spoon or at least get a PP.

Paf wants more players because he's a good judge and doesn't rate Henderson as a forward.

Didn't rate Kennedy either. :fight:

Before today I thought Henderson could make it. Now, doubtful. I have never seen a worse game!! No heart.

Ummmmmmm did we not draft J. Darling because we thought he was our answer up forward?

Need KP players!! Here's hoping Watson kicks on next year and we draft a tall forward!

Henderson played back in the 2nd half, not his fault. Did ok actually.
Delivery into the forward line in the 1st half was terrible and/or he was being double teamed didn't help as the sole forward. I was more disappointment in Kruezer\Warnock up forward more today and they got smashed in the ruck.
Will bounce back however, lets not get hysterical, we are better than the eagels!!!

Personally I think we are about par with the weagles. However we were very poor and had practically noback line! Hendersons lack of effort, desire, intensity and aggression is the issue.

The amount of times he failed to make an impact in a marking contest was astounding. His attempts to tackle were even worse, he just jogged around half heartedly all day.

We need all our hard players back urgently: Curnow, Robinson, Laidler, Duigan, White, Setanta & Waite.

That one crap game is probably going to cost us the double chance. 3 years in a row of playing elimination finals... 2 losses so far..... If Freo/Swans get up and running we might have another interstate final....there will be no pressure going into that game....

If we "rested" players this week, the match committee needs to be sacked. Why would you "rest" players in an 8 point game? :donk:

We had a bye a few weeks ago, why do we need to "rest" players?
