Wouldn't be be surprised if Hammer softened up his knee landing after last week's speccie.
If he's gonna get up that high I hope he learns to land cat–like.

When we moved it around the back line last year it was more likely to be a 20-30 metre pass to a player who'd stop before doing the same.

Now it's a 40-50 metre kick across the ground and then off again.

think that is more to do with confidence rather than change of game plan - you could see Ratts putting the building blocks together last year - just added the defensive pressure this year and it appears to be working . One thing I can never understand about AFL players no matter how shit you are there should be no reason not to tackle and it is no surprise so see sides sitting at the foot of the table are the worst for tackles

There is nothing worse than watching a game of footy that involves Sydney & StKilda.
There is nothing better than watching Carlton panse them and nothing they can do to STOP US!!!!
Hate the pricks and love watching us make them look 2nd rate.

As for the Backline chipping, well said GWS. We do it with purpose and plan now and open the field up ahead with beautiful "long" well planned executed passes. Poetry in motion and again KUDOS Ratt's although pretty sure I've seen it before  .

On his feet – yes

Cat–like – no

I'm quite chuffed at how I've obvously gotten under the skin of Montgomery Monologue.....but sadly, nowhere near as chuffed as I've been watching Carlton win 4 in a row. Keep it up Blues!

Read a comment stating that Duigan had his worst game for the year. Gee some people have some short memories. Duigan was terrible against Collingwood and Essendon* and was lucky to hold his spot before playing well against Adelaide. Today he fumbled once or twice but overall his game was very serviceable.

Good to hear

But still, if the medicos don't want to risk him, I hope they give him a rest.

Did anyone notice megan gale in the change rooms after the game giving the camera a shake of the head and wiggle of index finger like she is the centre of f*#@en attention and didn't want to be filmed.

He let the ball roll past him twice which was pretty disappointing. Has some weaknesses in his game, but usually adds enough good stuff to get by.

Sydney's aim going into that game was to play "Sh1tty Shut Down Football" and so for 3 quarters thats exactly what they played.

Just got back from the game and still have no idea of what happened to Hammer. Anyone?

btw... anyone else disappointed with the crowd today? 3 v 5 with a healthy swans contingent should be packing the dome seeing we got more to last weeks game against Brisbane.

A.....Hammer's done a knee apparently......(from the radio coming home)

B.......Today was the second biggest H&A Swans vs Blues crowd to a game in 1945!

Hammer

As for the attendance, just a little mystified on how we got more to 2nd from bottom Brisbane last week starting a 1pm. This week playing a rival top 4 team I was expecting high 40's, especially seeing the swans brought 5-7k of their own.

there was a bye in junior footy last week due to the queen's birthday weekend...that might be a reason for the crowd being down this week
