Hammer walked down to the rooms with a bit of a limp but didn't look season ending.

Hopefully a few weeks at worst and gives Knockers a chance to stay in touch with the firsts.

that doesnt mean anything though and sometimes can actually mean its worse

you can often walk around on an ACL injury

and sometimes a PCL or medial will hurt much more

I'm no expert, but it didn't look like an ACL to me. Did anyone see the actual incident?

Great win against a solid, well-drilled opposition. Yeah I'd have loved to smash them, but not much point stressing about the junk time goals. Footy for me is meant to be a pleasant break from any day to day worries - and this current Carlton lineup is just a pleasure to watch the way they play for each other.

A shame the Seven commentators seem to be hopping on our bandwagon. I was hoping to catch a few of the "experts" unguarded.

The greatest pleasure for me from this rise is the way we play.

A few years back the footy world was applauding the shit football of Sydney and the Saints.

Apparently the only way to win a flag was to play dour, grinding, defensive, shit footy.

We play attacking, high pressure, beautiful football.

I love it!

Our general work rate has been off the scale compared to previous years as well. We clearly follow instruction better and our overall teamwork and willingness to work hard for each other is first rate.

I saw the incident, Hampson landed awkwardly after a centre bounce contest with Mumford in the 3rd quarter. He lay on the ground for about 20 seconds before getting up and he tried to run it off before being helped from the ground. I reckon he came off as a precautionary and i would be surprised if he has done a serious knee injury.

Me too !

So glad that slow chip chip rubbish in defence we had going last year has be turfed.

Watching Yarran Jamo and company moving the ball forward with pressure is a delight to watch.

Same, at the game. Had the glasses on him. Didnt look like anything serious, fingers crossed.

Very impressed with Hammer today and last week. Have been a critic, but he's showing something!

Ellard concussion from Mumford sling tackle, slamming head on ground. Mumford should go for that, if recent similar incidents are anything to go by.

Did it easily today after slow start. Not concerned at all about taking foot off the pedal in the last. Had it long won.

Henderson the only concern form wise from today, but he needs game time if he is to be in reserve for later in season.

Overall, great stuff blues!

Hammer - they were talking PCL on the radio

Crowd - mate I went with made a good point - said he knew of quite a few people that went last week because their kids weren't playing junior footy (long weekend). Imagine the long weekend also drew a few in from interstate.

Four wins in a row and the 99Prelim is a distant memory.

One other thing - can't believe Horse Longmire waited until they were 45 points down before activating the sub :screwy:

forget about the last qrt, after the swans kicked the first 3 goals it was 14 goals to 1 after that, and in my books that's a thrashing for a team that was 5th on the ladder.... we just cruised in the last, need to keep a healthy list.

great team effort and its great watching and having kreuzer back.

Probably. I have tried to avoid the tripe after reading prior to the Adelaide game said Preliminary saying we would see just how bad we really are. The absence in light of our wins has been refreshing.

Rexy i noticed that we still chip around the backline quite a bit. I am suprised you think we have turfed it.
When we get pushed back and the opposition 50 we do plenty of chipping. On the whole though with the press being refind we are able to defend futher up the ground and play the game in our half. When we have this happening the chipping is not part of the plan.

I laughed the other week when the hawks were getting lauded for their chip kicking game to get through the zone/ press and commentators saying it was inventive when Ratts had been going on about since the Collingwood game last year.

I do enjoy our game style though. When we lay tackle after tackle and then run off with it, move it fast and score it is amazing to watch.

club, we're nowhere near as slow and static as last year.

This year at most there's 2 kicks sideways to free up some space then we attack the oppositions press with pressure. Didn't happen last year.
