If Waite comes in, who goes? Not Henderson surely. Bower?

Can't possibly drop Bower after just one qtr ffs :screwy:

My guess is no change unless someone has a niggling injury we're not aware of... sub? no idea

Also, not happy with all these media fluff pieces this week... need to keep our lids

So if we win Monday morning you'll say I didn't put the money.

Up front before the game, declare your hand.

:sly:
I always do. Are you suggesting I don't?

I've backed Carlton most times this year, which is a bit of a change from last year.
The only time i have tipped against them is the StKilda game, the Collingwood game and the Geelong game.

Last year, I won a fair bit of cash during the last 11 rounds..................... But I can honestly say I am more than happy to loose money if it means the Blues are winning.

If the team can't deal with positive media press without letting their egos get the better of them, then they aren't ready for the next step.

Collingwood and Geelong get written about their awesomeness every week. They lap it up and deliver more body blows to the next opponent. Blues need to do the same.

Media: "You guys are fabulous"
Carlton: "Hell yeah! Now let's smash Sydney on the weekend"

We've been getting good press for the last few weeks, and have handled it well enough.......so bring it on I say. Quite funny to see guys like Sheehan and Connolly giving us huge wraps. And athough he was barracking for Port, even DerWayne ended up giving us plenty of cudos. They start to look pretty silly if they don't :smoking:

I'm not sure if they have improved their team with the ins.
On paper thy have with Mummy in the ruck.
But lets not forget this bloke hasn't played footy for 3 weeks.
Yes he's fresh, but he's not primed.

They do look a well balanced side though.
I expect Bevan, Dennis-Lane and Moore to be dropped.
Malceski hasn't set the world on fire.
I reckong they have a tall team for the Swans.

Our midfield is going to hurt them.
Their backline is too tall to nullify Garlett, Betts and Walker.
They do have a good backline.

We just have to play a really defensive game as we have been and pull the trigger for a fast break when we can.

Our forward press circa 2011 is going to be fun to watch.

We owe these pricks big time.
They still complain about being ripped off the last time we beat them by 16 points because of the interchange infringement.
@#$%&! 'em. Take no prisoners.

Hampson and Kreuzer are going to run amok.
I know old man Seaby had a good game last week...but he didn't have opposition like he will this weekend.
We've had a good practise run at the Dome last week, and should be better for it.

TBird to be SUB.

Carlton by 7 goals.

Would not be surprised to see Bower sent back to the ants for match fitness and Aussie made the sub.

I cant see us picking a tall as the sub again. If anything a tall goes out for Army...probably makes it unlikely Austin gets picked, but...

Dear Match Committee,

Please pick Austin so everyone gets a free beer from Hotcox.

Thanks,
TBB

I dig your post tech.
Pity I don't have nightclubs in Melbourne anymore because I'd give you da main job as da DJ wearing the CFC jumper and getting paid for it.

Anyway... it's time for me to do some work so I can go out and have another very good night (whilst I'm still young).

In the past we didn't have the maturity nor the personnel.
This weekend we have the whole universe joining the Dark Navy Blues to smash the ugly ducks.
Quack Quack @#$%&! Quack.

This is the team I want us to beat well. Since 06 they are seem to be the gauge of who's going to be top four.

The sides to consistently beat the Swans in the last 5 years are Collingwood, Bulldogs, Geelong and the Saints.

Why do you make these type of comments?

It's not you. I might be wrong, but I always saw you as level headed and balanced.

I know Hotcox has it in for Austin...and everyone knows there's no need for him to assasinate Austin's character. It's rather off the way he does it imo.

What you just said is just really nasty. Baseless. And worse of all it's a personal attack on a Carlton player. Who the @#$%&! to you barrack for? you sound like a Collingwood supporter with that much hatred.:screwy:

I thought I was weird, but mate, you really are weird. That's slander. That is something that would upset the Bower family.
Please don't encourage your kids to hate Carlton players. It's just not the done thing. :screwy:

Now can you at least explain how one player will lead to our demise, if you can communicate it with some sort respect for the family Bower?

Ratts finished in the presser last week telling us how good it was to see another player in Bower [Kreuzer being the other] adapt to the pace of the game after a slow start, given he was only given a quarter to do so so which was more good news.

Does that give you an idea how important he is to Carlton in 2011? How much the depth in our team is valued? How Bower is part of our 2011 group's assault on the Premiership? It's about the team, and whether he's in our best 22 or our best 30, he's still part of an important group.

I wish he was fit and firing in last years finals campaign instead of having to bring him in the team on one leg when all our other talls were out injured. That's what depth is about. He is, they all are important in this 2011 campaign.

I hope you're not one of those so called 'feral' supporters who bag our players at the top of their voice at the game and sound like an opposition supporter. How @#$%&! embarassing if that's the case. It's not a good idea if you do, and you should change that if you want happiness in your life, because the behaviour to slander of their own doesn't come from happy stock. And please don't do it in front of kids, there's enough bad shit they see on TV and in the school grounds.

....and don't start with me about people's opinions here dane. This guy has crossed the line and is not stating a point of view. It is out right slander and there's no fun in that. Not for him, you or anyone except perhaps a Collingwood supporter who likes to see ferals eat their own within the great Carlton club.

Carlton to win by 7 goals with or without Bower, Waite, Warnock, Houlihan, Armfield, Joseph, Austin, Setanta.....

Good night.
