Rest Jamo against our biggest threat to the top 4?

Yeah, that's just insane. I doubt Bower will play this week. He was brought in for a safe game to see where he was at. Now we know.

After 1 quarter of footy where is Bower at?

Is that something Ratts stated? or someone from the MC? or you are assuming. Just curious.

I thought he had a good run in the Ants and that the MC do value him as an attacking defender.

I thought Bower was a bit tentative in that last quarter, till someone pulled me up on that. So I checked the last Q a couple more times (and we won again ...yippee) and yeah, like Ratts said something like"[ he started to stamp himself on the game towards the end, so that was a good sign]".

A good sign?

That implies to me that Bower is on the radar, just like Warnock and Houlihan are, except he has been selected and seemed to have taken Waite's spot or was that Setanta's spot he took?

Interesting that Simpson is quoted saying that Waite and Houlihan will come back in so he expects a lot more improvement in the team.
I'd say the other one on the radar would be Warnock too.

Conundrum...who misses.
Answer...he who doesn't play at their best.

The Swans are definetely talking this game up and believing they will win because of all the scoring opportunities they created against Richmond. We'll see.

Bloody hell!

There's a few 'puff' pieces in the papers this week about how bloody good we are.

Knowing DAMN WELL what happens when the press get all lovey-dovey towards us, I might just place a $20 on Sydney this week.

Unless Robert Walls writes something tomorrow.................................. Then i'll make it a $50! :banghead:

Walls' article will be Bulldogs or crows I would think.

I hope we have matured enough that the media cycle doesn't impact our performance.

We should win comfortably unless something goes seriously wrong.

Were the Swans in the 8 last time we beat them?

If not this is a perfect opportunity for us to beat a team in the 8 and stop those stupid jokes.

So if we win Monday morning you'll say I didn't put the money.

Up front before the game, declare your hand.

There's a spot on the seniors they will lose if they don't play at their best.
Then there's the maturity and the fire in the belly 2010 created.

Forget the past and the impact the puff pieces had on our team.
We didn't have depth like we have now. Big difference.
Plus we have the chance for our first 4 in a row for more than a decade.

If Waite comes in, who goes? Not Henderson surely. Bower?

I am so looking forward to belting these ducklings, I have no doubt we are a 6 goal better side than them & I think our speed & versatility up forward will really trouble them. I also don't see how they can out score us with their forward line.

If Jack goes to Judd which I'm sure he will, I'd happily have the Judd man cruising the half forward line creating havoc for the little swanette.

Blues by 7 goals for mine......the boys are oozing confidence & it's dawning on them that they belong at the top.....

Darat darat dara Darat darat dara.....

From @AFL_PKeane

Release all teams for Rd13 tonight is delayed as teams needing to be manually lodged with AFL. Apologies but this is beyond control of clubs

AFL Players refuse to have their name listed on team sheets until their CBA demands are met??

This sounds like a story Barrett would run with on TFS!!

Me thinketh that some of the posters are getting a little bit carried away with a "big" wins over 15th and 16th the past fortnight. I still think we'll win Sunday, but a couple of sobering thoughts from this article :

The Blues have won just two of their past 16 encounters with the Swans -- they've long been a bogey side for us.
"There's still a lot of footy to be played. I think last year we sat 7-4 at the halfway mark," -- that's not that different to now. I think we've got a tougher draw the second half, just like last year.

Having said all that ... we are better, I just don't believe we know by how much yet.

No Waite, No Warnock. Could it be NO change for the Blues this week?

I wonder who the sub will be with Bower surely to get a full game. Touhy deserves a full game again he was great last week.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kreuzer started as sub. Seemed strange for Ratts to comment on how he pulled up on Sunday without too much prompting.

Otherwise, Curnow maybe?

That's the way it looks. Not surprised at all.

Glad we don't have to rush players like Waite back in the team, let alone players who are not in ripe form.

From last week's Ants game the only player I would've considered for selection this week is Houlihan. Armfield is always next cab off the rank for the fast tagging type (Tuohy has his spot for now).

Geez, I better tone things down.....mmmm.....fast track, indoors, home game.....should be a 5 goal win. I'm expecting a 7 goal win as our teams continues to improve.
