..if our fwd6 line-up as dictated, i reckon there's plenty of height.. ..resting ruck at FF, Waite, and Walker plays tall.. ..also plenty of speed as well.. ..reckon walker is gonna blitz tonight.. ..waite, betts and garlett will be their main worries, leaving walker to run amok and the resting rucks should snag a couple each at least..

bring it on - just need to take our pre-season hunger and confidence out onto the park and EXECUTE.

NO PASSENGERS!

Too much stuff about blues murdering tigers -just happy to get 4 points

good weather for Robbo to smother a few with his head tonight -must get good start and jump them early

Robbo to dive into a pack, split his head open, come back back out with it bandaged up and play like a champ. He is a Tassie boy, conditions will be right up his alley tonight.

McLean is one who would have been very handy that not many have mentioned. Again conditions tailor made for him.

And yes, irrespective of the conditions we are one tall short (?) in the backline. So there is either going to be a pre game change or the match committee is taking a big gamble.

But this is footy, accept the injuries because they are going to occur and support the boys who are on the park. I am just looking forward to seeing the new boys play and booing Grigg. What is his number by the way?

Just how exciting is it when you go through the list of who is not in the team.

The team that we are fielding tonight is a team capable of being a top 8 contender that will only gain strength in the coming weeks to push towards the top 4.

Ah depth. It is very comforting.

hopefully it takes off before it lands.

Someone mentioned Waite kicking 1st goal the last 2 years...he has and is currently paying $13.

He won't be coming back out if he has concussion.

Robbo needs to play hard but also play 'smart'.

Jack Riewoldt is the new Brendan Fevola, kicks bags of goals in a team that gets pumped every 2nd week. He could kick 10 and we'll still win if we win the midfield battle

Weather outside is shithouse!

BOM still says showers and wind increasing. Prob going to be a sloppy game given the weather and the Tigers generally being shit.

It's good to be nervous. Can never take any game for granted. If we play at our best we should win quite easily. No room to take the foot off the pedal though.

P155'd down in the city at lunch time. BOM radar appears to have the heavy showers moving off to the east now. Only very light rain showing over to the west

With the weather..

I think it would be wise if the play Collins and Lucas goes out...

also Curnow should start on the field in this weather we need the bigger bodies.

The worse the weather .... the worse the skills ... the closer the game will be. It becomes about desperation and hard bodies and work ethic.

I would be depressed all weekend if we lose this one.

We will definitely get an idea about our depth after this game. A few players are going to have to do jobs that they normally won't be doing this year.

Missing from the spine: FB Jamo, CHB Bower, CHF Hendo (3 out of 5) add Kreuzer to this list as arguably our best tall.

I know it's a modern cliche but it's all about the midfield tonight

They have the reigning Coleman medallist and we have our two best tall defenders out, and down the other end we are missing Henderson and Kruezer

So they have an advantage in some sense

But our midfield looks to have depth and hardness so if we come to play, and Hampson doesn't bumble everything that comes his way, we should win fairly comfortably

I would be going to Warnock a fair bit when he rests forward, he could kick 4 tonight

Always a little nervous and very envious of those who can attend.

Go Blues!

Currently listening to live radio stream for 3AW. The AFL website is a joke re locating streaming links information. It may arrive after 7:30pm but why could it not go on line as of 7:00pm then there is no searching for the link just before the game starts?
