You have gotta love this quote.

"Auld and his staff are already devising a plan to ensure the Suns' supporters can easily get to the Gabba from the Gold Coast when the big game rolls around".

You would suspect cars or buses would do the trick.

Maybe they haven't heard of them yet.

Here we see a computer simulation of the stampede to the Gabba:

I'm off to this game - never been to an interstate game so I might as well break my duck with this game

Will sell out, so get in quick.

I am hoping to go as well. Was looking to go an iterstate game next year but with the Swans on a Friday night, the Port game on Sunday twilight and the other in Perth it looks like this is the one. I have only been on one interstate match before and that was years ago. Its a good chance to check out the cheap airfares and book in early. I assume that Carlton members will get a chance to book tickets.

With hundreds of thousands of AFL fanatics on the Gold Coast, they will be rare as hens teeth!

This will be Chris Judd's 200th AFL Game.

Worthy of some form of AFL celebration / promotion, you'd think.

Tiger have some pretty good sales to GC and Brisbane at the minute but finishes today.

Looking forward to it! Hope the tickets to the game won't be an issue.....

Gold Coast have publicly stated their aim for 2011 is 15,000 members (currently have 5,000). Even if they exceed that target there still should be plenty of seats available for visiting members/general public...

When will tickets come out for this game? The last time I went to the Gabba was with my Dad in '95. We got to the gate and it was sold out because parts of the grandstands were demolished. Luckly though back then i was living in Brisbane at the time.

I'm in for this game and taking up about 6 people. I hope AFL Membership department can help me out with securing some gate tickets.

Have seen the Blues play in Perth in 1993 (When Mainwaring hit the post after the siren), and in Sydney a couple of times, and am loving the opportunity to see the GC's first game against us.

If anyone is thinking of going to this game Virginblue currently have $79 fares on sale. There is one early morning flight up on Saturday and plenty coming back on the Sunday at this price. I am going with a group of friends, just hope we can get tickets into the ground.

I don't think you'll have much problem getting them from Ticketek/Ticketmaster (not sure who sells for the Gabba) if you buy em straight away.

The club will put the on sale date on the website when they have it, usually with a couple of week's notice.

I'll be heading up too. Should be good to see the game and also the build-up for Ablett v Judd (200th game).

I'm keen to go but they wont release tickets until a few weeks before teh season, I'm not to keen on booking flighst and accomodation if i dont know if I can get tickets into the ground. I know its a new team but you may get a lot of people turning up as its their first ever game for 4 points.
