Some odds and ends from the AGM:
The life memberships have already been mentioned elsewhere.
No mention was made of the clash jumper.
The poor quality of the 2010 membership caps was raised; the Club was aware of this and have changed supplier for 2011.
A question was raised as to why the AGM was not being held at Princes Park as promised at last years AGM. The response was the club didn't believe they had an area large enough! The club will investigate whether the warm up area is suitable for future years.
The Club's debt would be it's main focus next year!
The new players from the ND were introduced by Ratts who looked like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders!
Juddy was also there and was quite entertaining (i.e. when questioned about his upcoming nuptial, Juddy mentioned how Bec was clearly punching above her weight even though she is with a bald, hairy guy!!

); Sticks had earlier made reference that Fish, Kade and Waitey were all punching out of their weight division with their other halfs!!
Juddy, clearly wasn't impressed with some of the going ons at the AGM making mention that a club's dirty laundry should stay in-house. He was making reference to question time where one member was not very complimentary of the club, and Greg Swann in particular. Sticks mentioned to Juddy how glad we are to have him at our Club; I think Chris has been at the club long enough where we don't have to continuously thank him for choosing Carlton any more!!
Spoke to Luke Mitchell regarding his shoulder, he mentioned that the op was more precautionary to ensure he didn't do more damage to it during the season with a longer period on the sidelines; he expected to be ready for footy activities in 12 - 15 weeks. He mentioned some work was done on a loose tendon (labral or labrum i think) to prevent the shoulder popping out in future!
I asked Greg Swann about Marc Murphy, he thought things should work out OK without sounding totally convincing. He appeared much more confident about Luke Mitchell's shoulder operation and recovery which was quite pleasing. I asked him if we were aware about Luke's shoulder when we drafted him and his response was that Luke hurt his shoulder at Sorrento.
Finally I asked him about closed/open training sessions and he stated that it was his understanding that the club made it clear which sessions were closed/open. I stated that wasn't the case as someone was marched out yesterday's session and there was no info on the club website. He stated that wasn't good enough and agreed that the Club should be doing everything possible to engage supporters. He mentioned that the website will be kept up to date; He also mentioned quite strongly that he didn't believe in closed training sessions anyway (partly for some of the reasons already mentioned), but the coach had argued that he believed it could be the difference between winning and losing!! When I mentioned that closed training sessions weren't an issue for two of the last three premiers, Swann reiterated that if had his way all sessions would be open!!
