Nothing to really be cheerful about re. Carlton and 2010.

Anyone celebrating the fact of "falling" into the finals is IMO missing the bigger picture !

I remember a certain team who finished 8th, played finals and thought all was good this time last year ???

Are we headed down the same path ???

Honest Assessment,
Before next Sunday we are a chance of winning a Final and moving into Week 2.

After our finals campaign is finished......
We have done fairly well this year - all things considered.

We lost our one real avenue to goal and developed plenty more.
Gained a kid who will play plenty
Had a real go for many weeks. - Injuries to White, Lucas and Krooze stopped us.
Had a Lul - against sides we thought we were better than.
We thought we's be nothing like 7-4 at round 11.
So to go from this to 11 - 11 is disappointing.....
BUT how good was that game against the SAINTS....
Came back and belted a few poor sides and tried valiantly against the Cats and Dockers
Then the Finals came.....

Gibbs on Goodes is a must. Mclean to come into the side to add that in and under mid that was lacking against Fremantle

I'll see your Bradshaw in
and raise you

Bradshaw out
FORMER Brisbane Lion Daniel Bradshaw will take no part in the Sydney Swans AFL finals campaign after re-injuring his knee in a reserves match.

..why is it a must..?.. ..cos that match-up was such a success earlier this year..?.. ..or the last time they played..?.. ..how about the time before that, when Goodes was obviously very injured.... ..perhaps, you could tie Goodes shoe-laces together to help the Gibblet out.. ..this idea that Gibbs can match/beat Goodes is a joke.. ..he can't.. ..name me one key component where Gibbs is better than Goodes.. ..i can tell you it wont be in experience, footy smarts, speed, endurance, contested marking, body positioning..

I'd play Gibbs in the midfield, have Prendergast run with Goodes, with Bowyer to float across half back.

Gibbs has the ablility to hurt Goodes the other way. Gibbs can go with Goodes when Goodes goes forward.

This reminds me of the time Russell beat Johnstone because he was injured, or the time he beat Johnson because he was injured.

Goodes is yesterday's hero.

I'd play Grigg on Goodes before putting Gibbs on him.

Goodes would be way to good for Grigg in the air when he goes forward

The game should play out as most games against the Swans do....they strangle us we lose the plot they get 3 or 4 up and pretty much hold that lead till games end....what would be nice though on this occasion is not havng to endure a yoyo player like Shaw kicking a bag of goals....

Seriously will take a major miracle for us to win this one and maybe a few injuries early to them....but miracles do happen hopefully come this Sunday....
