When the Dockers beat us at Etihad their 2 best players were Barlow and Sandilands.
Barlow not playing and we will be better prepared for Sandilands this time with Warnock and Hammer (only had Sauce against him at Etihad after Kreuzer injury).
Murphy didn't play and of course we were a man down after the Kreuzer injury early in the match.
Add to this our woeful kicking in the 1st half (1.12 just before half time) and no wonder we didn't win.

I'm expecting a close one!

We should win this one comfortably....out of the top 8 the two teams going into the finals with the worst form are the Dogs and Freo....both are really struggling....we have a massive opportunity to secure a home final and given that I will be in Melbourne for the first week of the finals I am expecting us to take this opportunity by the scruff of the neck....

With Ratts saying Hampson and Joesph are certain starters i think we will make 3 changes this week

In: Hampson Joesph Yarran
Out: Jacobs ? ?

Hadley Ellard Carrazzo Walker & Davies are the four most under pressure to retain there spots in the side and i am not sure which way the match committee will go.

Carrazzo is under no pressure whatsoever to retain his spot.

If there are 3 ins, Jacobs is definitely out, the other two outs should come from Hadley, Davies and Walker.

Hadley and Ellard brought some heart back into the team and must be retained. Davies probably isn't quite up to it yet and Walker has become a liability.

I agree with your comments on both Hadley and Ellard.
I think Hadley might miss out because his body has struggled to finish in the last two games.

Hadley was pretty quiet last week, think he may have sustained an injury or aggravated whatever he did the week before...he's a useful addition but only when fit. If he goes Ellard must stay in.

Dunno who to drop out of Walker and Davies...maybe Davies given last week was Walker's first game back in the seniors, although Walker was pretty ergh.

I dont mind Ratts' comments, of course he was going to be asked about Freo's strategy and it IS putting all your eggs in the one basket. Just gotta hope we smash all those eggs :D

Ratts should forget the "mind games"
He went into a gun fight armed with a rubber stick. Until he develops some form of proficiency, he should stick to what he does well. Poking the bear will only make it angry.

I agree, I don't think he's got the runs on the board to start making suggestions or comments to opposition coaches. I think he should forget the mind games and focus on the task at hand.

I've liked Ellards efforts, but Ratts may chose to rest him.

If he's not tired I'd still play him and put him on Haselby. Seriously Haselby is slower than can be believed and I think Ellard can hurt him.

Joseph will probably go with Hill or put Walker on him, I'd go with Walks as he's going bad down back, and Hill has been avaerage.

Joseph to Suban, this kid has a future and needs to be held.

Haselby spends a lot of time forward and is a very strong in a marking contest so I would think Ellard won't play on him. Joseph will get Ballantyne as he did a great job the last time we played them and Armfield on Hill as he also played well against him last time.

Works for me.

From that scenario, who misses out. Ellard, Walks or Davies?

Weren't we 2 men down by 3/4 time last time we played them?
Thought there was another injury on top of Kreuzer...

We really should win this.
Mind games or not.

Harvey to Ratten: Bring it on

Still reckon Ratts comments were very generic. Mick Malthouse made almost the exact same comment about form not being able to be turned on like a tap following the Pies narrow win over Adelaide on the weekend.

Murph didn't play against Freo, replaced by Army. Was that the game that Army got collected by Thornton?

I think Walker should play finals, so on that basis he needs another game to get back into form.
Davies to miss, although I think he showed good signs last week and should be able to crack into Top 22 next year

Harvey's got to say something to get the heat off him. He's been taking it in the freckle all week from everyone here in Perth.

11 changes possible, not a chance.

Hope our boys are getting fired up.

I've fallen for it, lets tear it up Blue Boys.

Mm..I actually thought that Ratts's comments were in retaliation of Sandilands smug little comments the day before...
so in other words...
They started it!!!!!!
ps...C'mon boys...we have to SMASH them on behalf of everyone..including poor old Norf..who had their slim chance crushed by Freo's actions.

(ok..I admit I had a small bet on'em makin the 8.oops.)
