Most of the criticism on here is pretty constructive. I think there is a difference between turning on a coach and highlighting weaknesses. People on here were the first to see the coaching cracks and they must be real because the club acknowledges them.

How has the club acknowledged them?

via Damien Barrett on TFS? Massive doubts over the validity of that story at the time and Swann came out almost immediately to say Ratten will be coaching in 2011.

Tell me you are not serious.

The thing that irrates me most about this site is when people are delusional enough to believe that the club takes any notice of what we say.

All our posts do is discuss between a group of passionate Carlton supporters our opinions on the game, our players, coaches, club and provide fodder for stupid and lazy journos.

I didn't say the club acknowledges this forum but I believe the club acknowledges that the coaching department and board could be strengthened. These weaknesses were discussed on here early in the piece (over a year ago). Barret's view's are not unfounded. I think at the very least Ratts will get better support coaches and some changes at board level

I will say this, I read both TC and BF but only ever post here.

Everyone and I mean everyone here ... even the people who I may not agree with seem to be able to carry on with sensible debate without resorting to personal sledging etc.

TC is a ferrari compared to BFs motobike.

Having said that I do not know one supporter here who would not give 5 years off his life for a premiership next year ... and generally I think, at least on this site, there really is not that many if any ferals.

I will go so far as to say that as long as the boys play for the jumper come win or lose we are not feral. When they disrespect the jumper and show zero ticker ... well .... I am sorry but if I was given the chance to play for the mighty Blues I would leave a pint of my blood on the field each and evry flower week.

I remember the Hawthorn game last year .... yeah we were dissapointed but all acknowledged the red hot go .... compare that to the Dawks game this year.

So yeah, we do not expect miricles but we do expect ticker, when we do not get that then I have no problem voicing my concerns.

I know that quoting somebody else's post is a lazy reply BUT this post encapsulates everything that I have to say on the subject. We are definately not the worst supporters in the league and the record memberships in the spoon years supports this, but we DEMAND that the players give their all regardless of how much or how little that is.

Weak, disinterested and inept performances are not acceptable regardless of opposition or where we are on the ladder. The Hawthorn, North Melbourne and Collingwood debacles highlight this point.

If the expectation that the players put in everything every game labels me a feral, then I proudly wear that badge.

I reckon a bit of old fashioned roasting after a bad loss is therapeutic.
