Gibbs will probably go to Goodes. Wouldn't mind Russell having a crack at him.
It's the only reason Gibbs should get a game, problem is this poser, (yes poser) knows it because he probably figures he'll get Goodes if its a run with role.
If I was Roos I'd play Goodes out of the forward line and then Gibbs will go somewhere else or get his pants pulled down by Goodes.
Ratts , show us you've got a pair, and drop Gibbs. Don't take the soft option again by dropping second stringers or crucifying guys by giving them one whole game to get in the swing.
gibbs! poser??
i have a feeling i know who the 'poser' is! my suggestion would be to play the kid in the position where he's played for 15 years and can tear the game apart. THE GUTS!
let roos and his staff worry about gibbs going banana's and tearing the swans a new one!
GIBBS TO MIDFIELD!
that is all.
Terrific, put him in the midfield. But if the guy won't put his head over the ball or body on the line, then it won't matter where you play him.
And yes Gibbs is a poser. Too many games I've seen him running aroound getting cheap kicks whilst a real champ gets his body smashed to a pulp.
Here's Gibbs problem, he isn't a coward, but he certainly won't do the hard stuff unless someone challenges him or the coach puts the acid on him. I,ve seen him get the hard ball so I know he can do it, but it's not his natural game. For ttwo seasons I've been of the opinion that it much be the coaches instruction for him to hang out the back and be a distributor, but its pretty obvious that this is what he wants to do as well.
The guy needs to be dropped Dal Santo style, so we can get some hard work out of him.
The guy is simply too talented to be out of the action for long periods of the game, we have to get him involved in as much as we can and that means that a lot of the time he has to get his own footy, which he just doesn't do enough of.
