Pros:

Hmmmmmm, struggling.

I didn't go.
The justintv thread worked a treat so I get to bed early

Cons:

Krooze, heartbreaking
Walls & Lloyd, & especially Q'Brain
Goalkicking
Slow, reactive footy, too little too late
We lost

Pro: The day gets closer when carlton supporters realise what a useless coach Ratten is 'snip'. 2 good games doesn't make a great coach.

Con: Kreuzer's injury (hopefully Hampson really takes this opportunity to shine)
Where did this Murphy injury come from!?!??! Rumblings are his hips are gone for his career. If the management staff had any brains at all give him surgery NOW because this season is a TOTAL loss.

In summary: Why the hell do we keep supporting this hack you call an AFL coach. The guy was assistant coach of the worst team in the AFL at the time and now he's coaching a team of up and coming stars. Ratten has single handedly butchered the Carlton team for this season. PLEASE!!!! *snip* him off now!

Pro - Surely after that change will come.

Con - Never been so embarrassed to be a Carlton member. Season blown in 2 weeks.

The way I feel right now, they can all go and get [REDACTED]. Hard. Repeatedly. With no vaseline.

It was a night where a lot went wrong, but most unsatisfying was the return of Carlton version 2008/9, where hugging the boundary was back in vogue.

And because of that I will mention two words that I haven’t said in angst for a while – Brett Ratten. Unfortunately, the question marks are back, with a vengeance.

PROS

1. Lachie Hendo - Great presentation, great hands. A star of the future.

2. Kane Lucas – Composure with a capital ‘C’. We will win the fev trade.

3. Paul Bower – Reliable now, and adds dash. Future gun.

4. Joseph, Armfield and Russel rebounded from bad games.

5. Kade Simpson was admirable

CONS

1. A tragedy for Kreuz. Absolute tragedy.

2. Now for Ratts – Brett, I thought you were over it. I thought you’d realised that we were hopeless when we played around the fence. I thought you’d embraced the corridor and our run from attack. I thought you’d developed a game plan to make our forward line effective.

But it was a mirage.

You have Waite and Hendo leading to the grandstand for 3 quarters. Your plan of rolling the side up the ground to kick over the back has been found out. Your kickout zone got ripped apart tonight. You will say we disposed poorly, were inaccurate and a man down, and all these things are partly true. But in your mind you should now we were inaccurate because our chances were poor and we were inefficient because the pattern of play was hopeless.

You thought we could get Judd outside ‘the bubble’ by giving away our first round pick, and again you were wrong. He’s getting smashed, and it’s your fault.

Brett, you are back at the crossroads.

3. Carrazzo – The ‘Italian for turnover’ joke is back.

4. Judd – He just keeps getting smashed, even by a hack like McPhee. WHEN WILL WE HELP HIM.

5. Relying on the three amigos to kick goals out of their behinds is not a forwardline gameplan.

Very disheartening.

Some big steps backwards tonight.

Get well Big Kreuz – we’re all behind you.

Cons:

Kreuzer going down.

Murphy missing the game.

People coming on here after a loss and being unable to express their opinions without resorting to abuse or foul language.

Pros:

Little Jeffy G. Never mind "why didn't we pick Podsiadly or Barlow"...why didn't any other team pick this little gem?

Lachie Henderson...starting to get confidence, taking some great grabs and having a great work rate.

Sammy Jacobs battled manfully against that man mountain.

Good to see Pauly B back, will be better for the run.

JR continuing show courage and drive in the backline.

Pros:
Bower, Jamo, Russell, Hendo
Hadley never to paly again in a a carlton jumper

Cons:
Selection errors: why would Hadley keep his spot. why would you use Armfield (HBF) to replace Murphy (midfield) - Morons!!!!!!!!!!
Ratten is still our coach.
I had to waste my time watching that shit, any threat of using the corridor or playing facst attacking footy
The season is over (actually maybe thats a positive)

Pros:
Nothing
OK, Lachie did OK, Sauce did well considering he was all we had.

Cons:
I felt sick all day and thought about staying home but decided to go to the game and now I feel sicker
Krooz
Murph's late withdrawal - anyone know exactly what is wrong with him and how serious it is
Appalling kicking for goal - lost the game in the first quarter AGAIN
Appalling kicking into the forward 50 - kept going over player's heads
Too many handballs to players in poor positions who got caught
Judd got smashed because no one will help him
Gibbs wouldn't shepherd if you held a gun to his head
Wouldn't use the corridor
Had way more of the ball than Freo yet had to work way harder to do anything with it
Making the finals is going to be very difficult given our draw for the last 9 rounds

Pro

Lucas......that's about it.

Cons

AJ - his last 2 games have been terrible. Tries to do too much and gets caught. Some might say he shutdown that little runt but overall he's a liability at the moment for mine.

Carrazzo - tonight he went 'old school'. Turnover king.

Jamo - Been off. That handball to JR, WTF was that?

Walker - skill level inferior tonight.

Hadley - didn't do enough. Judd still getting smashed.

Waite - very little impact.

Eddie - needed you earlier.

Gibbs - did you play tonight?

Yarran - see Gibbs.

Garlett - pick the ball up son.

Decision making.

Skills execution.

Game plan.

Kicking for goal.

Work rate.

Heart.

Having a crak for 10 mins and being really disappointed with the loss.

Kreuz  :banghead:

Pros
- Henderson showed plenty.
- Garlett, Betts, Simmo and JR

Cons
- Kreuze injury  any chance it might "only" be a medial?
- Match committee. Surely Hampson would have been a better option than Jacobs. Grigg should be in the side.
- Poor skills from Carazzo, Joseph and Armfield. Their workrate/defensive side is good but you can only carry so many players with poor skills.

PROS
-The guy being interviewed in the crowd at quarter time, saying the umpiring was disgraceful. Best laugh of the night.

CONS
-Our kicking for goal. I can't make fun of Collingwood's hopelessness in front of goal anymore.
-Kruezer. Just felt sick when it happened. I did over hear some Carlton people talking about it, and they didn't think it was the worst case scenario, so fingers crossed they are right. (Of all nights to lose a ruck man as well!)
-Awful use of the ball in the forward 50, we really need someone there to give direction, it seemed in the first half that players were reluctant to have a shot for goal.
-Judd getting punched in the guts by McPhee.
