It's funny you mentioned that. I had a browse on Real Footy and Superfooty this morning and noted most "expert tipsters" have tipped us to win. Didn't really expect that.

Consistently inconsistent...that's for sure. So yep, they'll win.

Ditto Hammer surely ? Would have loved to see him have a leap at big Sandilands, and free up Kreuz to play up forward. Sauce will get slaughtered in the ruck. So obviously we are planning to rove to Sandilands all night ? (as most teams do I suppose).

Why will Sauce get slaughtered? Very good tap ruckman. Kreuzer is the concern at present.

213 and 123kg v 200 and 100kg. Sauce has been great value and keeps improving, but he simply won't be able to get his hands on the ball first in the ruck, whereas Hammer with his leap maybe able to occasionally ? Also not sure Sauce will be mobile enough to keep up with Sandilands around the ground.

What match-ups do we think we'll go with?

- Sandilands. Maybe Jacobs in the main with Kreuzer playing a ruck-rover role and extra ruckman over the top as often as possible?
- Barlow. Shouldnt dominate us but we should get a decent player on him. Crowley will probably try to take Judd wouldnt he? Gotta get Hadley, Carrazzo and co to bash and crash the Freo taggers on Judd and Murphy IMO.
- Pavlich. Bower/Jamison combo. If he goes further afield Walker could even chop out. If he parks himself in the goalsquare then he's all Jamo's.
- Hill. Could Simpson go head-to-head with him on a wing? Would be a cracker.
- Morabito & Fyfe. Gotta watch these kids IMO. Really classy and talented....and showing plenty thus far. Dont underestimate their kids I say!

I prefer Jacobs on Sandilands then Hampson. Your point about Hammers leap makes sense but I think back to Jacobs v NicNat. Jacobs the bigger grounded ruck against the mobile leap of NicNat. Jacobs dominated him because he protected the space of the ball with his big frame, exactly what Sandilands would do to Hampson. At least Jacobs has been in the team for a little while and will at least make Sandilands work for his hit outs. I mean really, no one comes close to Sandilands so we just have to be smart about it.

Sauce is capable of keeping up with Sandilands around the groun, he is under estimated in this regard.

The Friday Oracle

Freo will go down to Blue Magic.
A bit of Rattsy inspired cunning in the midfield
Some Lappinology know how up forward
A Captain inspired come back to knock our woolly socks off.
A Saint Robert whisper into Gibbsy's ear...
Show no fear..up the gears...
Our boys will win
Those pretend pirates will be left with nothing but a half ass@*d sea shanty which they won't get to sing this week.
Go Blueboys..it's all yours.

The selections reek of a late change/s this week for some reason. Armfield in for a sore Joseph, who nearly didn't make it up for last weeks shemozzle? Didn't think Army was our worst last week.

Can't wait to see Yazz go all randy travers on the shockers, y'all.

Blues by 23points.

Is anyone else as perplexed as me at the omission of the Swan Districts Dasher (Armfield)? There is something very very sinister about all this. I dare say there will be someone missing from that 22 on gameday and Dennis will play.

Yep thats the way i see it. Army is listed as First emg and Ratts has stated that Joseph has been struggling for a couple of weeks now.

So we shall wait and see..................

We should play Gibbs on the ball this week. He is wasted down back and Fremantle have a talented deep midfield.

Henderson to step up with at least 4 goals from CHF.

The one thing i'm looking forward to seeing tommorrow night is the Waite/Hendo interaction.

I think we were limited with Irish in that he was used mainly as a FF and Waite or Hendo were used as the hit up target and CHF.

Now we have multilple options as both really understand CHF and i reckon we could catch Freo on the hop.

One minute it will be Hendo then Waite or even Thornton could pinch hit there.

No one else worried that Setanta is out with a calf?
That was what was wrecked his season last year until the "calf blood" doctor weaved some magic...hope that magic isn't running out out and/or we are managing Setanta very conservatively

How long has this been an issue? Is the club treating him for this? Or is this just something Murph will have to manage for the rest of his career?

Heard he was asking for a trade to the GC for this very reason. My "source" says that his nips are becoming a problem in the Melbourne winters and the QLD weather will help with the problem and prolong his career ..............

If that were true every single footballer would want to go to Perth or old as they all have jiggles. Cannot believe that. Why do we need to spread this stuff.?
