Our run out of the back half has won us the past 2 games.. its a real strength and Ratts expoited that beautifully today.
Fantastic coaching performance.. Onwards and upwards

Let's not jump off T-bird completely. As a rule he has good disposal and can use the ball well. He's been one of the few shining lights in defence during the club's darkest period in almost 150 years. He is not perfect, I agree, but at his best he is in our best 22.

Absolutely thrilled!!!

The intensity, work rate, PRESSURE and run from the back half was outstanding today.

So many positives. This HAS to be the benchmark now. Still a tough road ahead.

I admit I got extremely nervous late in the third when we didn't put them away and were a little wasteful. Rapt that we continued on for a well deserved win.

Here's hoping Walks isn't too bad, he was sensational today.

Go Blues!!

Play like this and we'll knock off Collingwood, and break our ducks against St Kilda and Hawthorn.

And most of all
Brett Ratten - Copped it from all corners after the loss to Essendon*. Made some big calls dropping Waite and Thornton. Has gone for run over height in a couple of games where the opposition has had plenty of talls and, well, its paying off. Many thought we were too short going into this game and Waite had to come back but you stuck to your guns. Congats Brett, you deserve it.

Spot on jake. That's pro-activeness at it's best, great to see us on the front foot.

Pros

JR is really leading our defence grandly.

Lucas looks to be picking up the tempo very quickly.

Scotland and Juddy lead the way.

Gibbs b.o.g.

Con

Poor Walks. He was slaughtering the tomahawk and playing beautifully. Hope he's ok.

But that's what they needed and listened to us - knew thay let us down and have redeemed themselves for us.

So we can take a bow for making them wake up.!!

Intensity
Tackling
Chasing
Hardness at the ball
Run from the backline and through the midfield
Forwards running and creating space
Boldness to play on, move it quickly, and not being afraid of stuffing it up

is pretty much why we won.

Ohh and Judd

past his best i'm afraid - and does not fit into a gameplan that relies on quick movement out of defence.
thanks for the memory - but enjoy retirement

Terrific win really puts the season back on track
Big bodies in the middle Scotland Judd and Maclean really make a difference

Defence is functioning well got to feel for Andrew (Glass Shoulder) Walker his last two games had been his best

Forward structure still alittle shaky Hendo and Irish need to do more but the little fellars are killing them and its not just Yarren Garlett and Betts you can throw in Hoops and Murph as well

Armfield on Byrne brilliant job
Hoops killing Enright
and Russell has a new bitch in Stevie J
Joseph learned today that Ablett is a true champ of the game
Walker on Tomahawk Killed him
Warnock competed well against a very good ruckmen

Jamo is the new SOS

Interesting next week both teams coming off big highs hopefully the softness of yesterday will have the same effect it had on Geelong this weeks

GEELONG ARE OUR BITCHESSS !!!!!!!

They really missed Scarlett's drive and Corey to take the heat off Selwood...
But really we just owned them.

Can't believe all the Geelong ferals sitting in front of me bitching and moaning about the umpires half way through the third quarter when they realized it was slipping away.

Great win today...much more impressive than our last win against them as more riding on this one and they had a full squad in (scarlett excluded but he would have made no diff today) and were in top form coming into it....Judd has been the spark for us since coming back no doubt....there is no use searching for a new superlative for this man...absolute legend...but the other difference has been the confidence given to the boys esp down back to run and carry....at last some instinctive footy...we look a very good team when we use our pace...bad news about 1AW...will be missed....Rich>Yarran...     my ass he is.....Yazz will be a player we will talk about with big massive smiles on our faces in the years to come...

Just back from the ground. Had $50 on Carlton by 39.5+ at 21s.

So close to a gorilla in the back pocket!

Ah well, covered the $50 with a win H2H though.

Wow, what a nice way to end the long weekend.

Go Blues!

Not his shoulder !
There's still hope. Arm or collarbone would be a much better result!

and re Jamo being the new SOS - True story. The human glove. Just with the screamers and occasional bag of goals
