There was plenty to be concerned about from last nights game, but I am not getting overly worried because it was the first game of the nAB cup and I expect the boys to be rusty and game plan not perfect yet BUT what concerns me greatly is the fact we still have no plan for kick ins after a behind has been scored. It has been a massive problem for us for at least 5 years and seems to never be addressed. It should be relatively easy to devise a plan to avoid direct turnovers from kickins. Last night there were 4 direct turnovers from kick ins and another half dozen 50:50 kick ins.
Something has to be done by the brains trust and soon!!!!!!!

I share your angst. For years its been a problem, and for years it has continually killed us during a game. Particularly against the top sides it kills us every time. I've been saying for years, forget all of this short chip kick deep to the pocket bullshit. Get numbers on a flank and just go LONG. At least that way it gets out of the opposition's danger zone. But I suppose that would be too easy.

Just play #20 our ROK. Persevere with him like Geelong did with Josh Hunt. They are very similar players/athletes and with similar body types. Both have a beautiful piercing left foot.

Josh turned the ball over a bit early on, but as his confidence grew and he learnt how/when to take a riskand pinpoint a target, he improved out of sight. ROK can do the same.

I now ask.....why did he not play Saturday night?
