What do we think our players are paid, in the TTP?

There are different grades of players.

What would elite players like Judd, Murphy etc be paid?

What would developing defenders like Jamison and Bower be paid?

What would an Armfield be paid?

What would a veteran like Thornton be paid? Or Scotland?

Does anyone have any clue?

I'm just wondering about this, bec apparently we are $1M under the cap and this could give us a chance to pay our young guns more to keep the GC away, and could also let us bid for a top OCC player come the season's end.

Just to add on to this, I would love to see players to be payed weekly, by going on how they perform during the weeks training
and the weekends game. But this will never happen.

So what I was wondering, do players get a little extra $$$ for being BOG ???

I think certain contracts are incentive based. But they are based on amount of games selected and B&F finishes

If we have money in the kitty to target players out of contract and what not then that's all I need to know.

What T-Bird is earning versus Army versus Casboult is a pointless exercise because contracts are not just one lump sum paid per year. The complexities of contracts and back-ending them, marketing contracts etc, make it difficult to gauge.

I dont really care what they're paid but I fail to see how we're $1m under the TPP. The AFL requires you to pay 92.5% of the cap.
Assuming we're abiding by that requirement (Personally, I'd suggest we're paying much closer to 100%) we could only expect to have about 500-600k available.

We dont pay stevo or fev anymore. So i assume we frontloaded all our contracts to pay 100% of tpp this year. That means there should be a fair wack left for the end of the 2010 season. Probably not a mil as we would have to up the wages for a few coming out of contract. It would be a shame to use the extra doe on keeping players away from GC and GWS but it may be the case. Id imagine the club will be smart about this and hopefully some gun will want to come to cartlon for a flag and not the money.

How much?

Too much, probably.

What percentage of membership fees go toward player payments?

we did this a few years ago. The club must pay approx 92% of the salary cap of $6.6m. They cab pay up to 95% but I believe we currently are between the two marks. The rookies earn a set amount plus payment per senior game and Judd would probably be our most expensive player. As we recently recruited Warnock and McLean fom another club they woudl probably be 2 and 3.
