We're probably going to need to pass the hat around as google ads money has slowed down and the money left in the kitty has dried up. I'll discuss with camel and let you know the details.

Not sure if everyone has seen this from Chucky

As discussed in the post here Camel and I are slowly beginning the process of handing over the admin of the site.

Of pressing urgency is the funding predicament we find ourselves in currently.

For nearly 20 years, we've relied on Google Ads to generate the funds required to host the site and contribute to player sponsorship. For a while now, income has dropped to virtually nil, and I have been personally funding the hosting fees since November 2022.

In order to keep this site operating, we need approximately $100 per month. At present the site is running on quite old software and we need to update the site before we can consider moving the site to another, possibly cheaper host.

Due to these ongoing funding issues we think it would be best to relinquish our player sponsorship of Kerryn Peterson, and unless we get any strong feedback to suggest otherwise, camel will be contacting the club to inform them of this decision by the end of this month.

In the interim, If you would like to contribute to the hosting fees, please consider depositing what you can to:

Account Name: Charles Mercieca
BSB: 083-437
Account Number: 87-376-0850

If you choose to leave your username in the reference field, I'll add you to a 2023 TC Sponsorship Group.

Thanks for your time.

Is that including player sponsorship, or is that just hosting fees alone?

So….

about 4 bucks a month works out to 48 for
the year…so 50 for a year isn’t too much to ask
is it…?

sort of 1 dollar a week…Ay dolllar…!

kindest regards tommi

there’s other options than self hosting.

modern platforms with zero upfront or ongoing hosting fees.

heck you can even post an image without a BSc in ComoSci to these other platforms. and my wink-crazy-tongue-out emoticon won’t cause a post error!!

Just hosting costs, CK.

Sponsorship is around $2200, so that's almost $200/month on its own. And I think it's time to we stop, for now at least.
