Jon Ralph Verified account @RalphyHeraldSun Collingwood set to poach Bri Davey from the Blues. The Blues captain only won the Carlton best and fairest alongside Maddy Prespakis last night. Would have to broker a trade. The belief is she approached Collingwood. Blues would be extremely unimpressed @superfooty @FOXFOOTY 34 replies 3 retweets 78 likes |

Not upstairs, but officially. But like any trade period, we hold the cards. Pick 1 for a start, and go from there. |

I understand wanting out last year, but the only thing that would justify a move to the wooden spooners with no coach is $$$ |

In my opinion, she's not really setting a good example for a new league as an AFL Captain. She like many others are already showing absolutely no loyalty for an already very confused league that mind bogglingly has conferences. If these players want to have any credit as not only footballers but professional athletes they need to start building some tradition and culture in their clubs, starting with loyalty. How are young girls supposed to grow up barracking for an AFLW club if the stars and especially the captains just keep changing clubs? Because if AFLW is only going to be a trading sideshow, with teams making the finals to only get flogged because of a flawed ladder system, whilst having to poach athletes from other sports over footballers. Then in my opinion, it is already doomed to fail. |

Liddle and Lloyd need to urgently steady the ship. The swift departure of Graves and now Davey aren't a good look for a club promoting unity and commitment. |

Scratch that https://twitter.com/_sjblack/status/1121596180058660865 Quote: FORMER Carlton skipper Brianna Davey is now officially a Collingwood player with the two clubs completing a trade that saw six picks swap hands. Womens.afl understands Collingwood has handed over a first, second and third-round pick in return for the star onballer. Fourth-round selections have also been exchanged, while Carlton has also traded its fifth-round pick to its cross-town rivals. This means Carlton has now obtained picks 2, 26, 44 and 59 from Collingwood as part of the deal. The Blues already have picks 13, 36 and 52, while picks 67 and 82 now belong to the Magpies. We lose: Davey, 67 and 82 We gain: 2, 26, 44, 59 Total draft haul: 2, 13, 26, 36, 44, 52, 59 Numbers like this would look wonderful in the men's game, but not so much in the women's game. We're losing our captain and best player, and receiving nothing in return but speculative youngsters. |
