Only four weeks to go.

Winning by a good ol’ 55 tonight, you could certainly say that the Lions were on the prowl.

Worst performer on the field was Umpire #12.

But we somehow pinched it after having nothing in front of half forward for most of the match.

The team's pressure was consistently high throughout the match.

Agreed, had a shocker.

Great clutch goals from B Moody and Sherar at the death to get them over the line. Fantastic games from Guerin and Skepper. You could see how much the win meant to them, a lot of very excited players.

Yep. She was struggling big time.

A good win but so frustrating to watch. Sherar is a star. Moody, Hill, McKay, Guerin and Peterson are quality and I love watching the effort Anthony puts in. Some of our remaining girls really struggle. No doubt Tarni Brown is a good athlete but her decision making is well below the level required. She gets the ball and slams it on the boot every time without considering the outcome.

The biggest frustration for me is the coaching. We make zero effort to block the outlets when going forward. The opposition quite rightly will go wide when exiting our forward line but we never have a player there to intercept. No idea what our wingers are doing but they're definitely not playing the role our team needs.
The biggest deficiency in women's footy is the ground ball and we're as inept as anyone. I'd hope the coaches are focussing on that more than anything.
Full credit to the girls for getting the win though. It was 4 quarters of solid effort.

Skepper has those rounded Ablett shoulders and looks a natural footballer.

Congrats to Abbie McKay on 50 games.

Please don't leave like all the others did.

11 inside 50s up to 3/4 time, against a side that hasn’t kicked a goal for 3 weeks.

Problem with the women playing AFL.it requires to much skill. The AFL should have kept it to 6 to 8 teams because what they are putting out at the moment is utter garbage.
NRL is watchable
Soccer watchable
Basketball watchable
Hockey watchable
Tennis watchable

Aflw is total crap

Expansion had to happen, and there will be a few more seasons of tripe before the pool of players builds.

I'd love to watch Carlton train to see WTF they practice, because it doesn't seem to be football.

Finn's goal was the talking point (and a beauty it was) but her tackle, to stop Schleicher in her tracks about a minute later, was just as important. Great win!

I'm only half way through the replay (got home too late to watch the whole thing), but to half time Carlton were playing much better this game than in recent weeks. Pressure up and skills seem nicer too.
