Harford would do well to have the players recognise their substantial weaknesses, and not pretend they didn't have said weaknesses.

Get fair dinkum and the girls will learn. Bombing into the forwardline, or bombing it anywhere to Collingwood's disciplined zoning reminded me of several of the previous men's senior team coaches (plural). Lucy McEvoy seems to have stepped up. Wasn't impressed with the defending. Letting the Pies forwards lead into space with ease was so obvious for 4 quarters.... Watched a few of the AFLW games. Have to be mindful the gorls know what to do but execution is Under 14's imo. Great to see our jumper on TV, and the pro active Blues support was obvious too. Go Blues. |

We have a couple of absolute guns in Prespakis and Moody and it falls away from there. The lack of game sense is astounding. I don't know how many times we had a free kick or mark and had no one ahead of the ball to kick to. It's not difficult. If a team mate has the ball, options 35m ahead of the ball must be presented. Whether in defence, midfield or attack, we were outnumbered ahead of the ball. Giving away 2 goals from undisciplined 50's and an out of bounds kick across goals killed us. Harford needs to forget the kumbaya coaching and instil some discipline and mongrel. Instead we still tolerate players hearing footsteps. If falling over counted as possessions, Vescio would have had 20+. It was as frustrating as hell. Collingwood continually presented the 20m option and we gave it to them all day instead of showing some accountability. I like our long kicking economical game style. AFLW is a territory game and players who can run with the ball are gold. We have them. We just need to work harder to get the ball back when the opposition have it. |

We were very ordinary in the way we allowed Collingwood players to lead and mark simply, and not just in the forward line. We didn't pick up our opponents or run off them and make play. Our disposal continues to be sub-par and we didn't make the most of Moody dominating in the ruck. |

Nice to be back at the footy but our delivery into attack was all over the shop. Our absolute best chain of possessions for the day along the southern wing ended with our forward going for a pass instead of just kicking the goal, Lygon St end.
