The Gamechangers have welcomed 4 new players snd were one of only 2 clubs to pass on a selection and leave a spot open for later recruitment. That opens up the possibility of going after someone who was overlooked on an interstate draft pool or perhaps we just want to monitor some of the locals a bit more. Obviously we didn’t have a Victorian solidly in our sights or we would have used our last pick. Personally disappointed that we didn’t use that last pick on the big ruck forward Tahlia Gillard who was promptly snapped up by Melbourne. Anyway, enough about who we missed we grabbed a rebounding intersect defender (tick), a quick outside mid leftie (tick), a utility probably best used as a rebounding v defender or mid (tick) and lastly a mature key forward (tick). Quite happy with the choices and the mix of player types, just think Gillard would have been icing on the cake. Haven’t had a look yet at who got overlooked but I guess that will be the new recruiting focus now. |
