The club has announced the delisting of 5 AFLW players:

Bridie Kennedy, Reni Hicks, Shae Audley, Rhiannon Watt and Kirby Bentley

Bentley is probably a victim of father time, her story is epic and she is a true giant of the womens game. Perhaps Audley too is a victim of the clock. Hicks has been rumoured to have interest from Richmond and Watt has signed at St Kilda where she had previous connections.

Good luck and best wishes to all.

Meanwhile Collingwood are having another big crack at Bri Davey and are a real chance of swaying her to go and Gold Coast at having a go at Gab Pound.

Davey has asked to go. What's the point of keeping her? Drive a hard bargain and tell her to @#$%&! off.
That's 2 years in a row. If she doesn't want to be here, kick her out.

Big dog act if the captain of the club has gone behind the clubs back like that.

Amelia Mullane is probably retiring to start a family, she's newly married.

Courtney Webb is a cricketer so will return to that fulltime no doubt.

Tilly Lucas-Rodd... well if she was delisted, her girlfriend/partner Bri Davey is likely gone as well.

At the open training before the Bulldogs game my daughter buttonholed Mark La Guidice to express her pleasure that he was at all the AFLW games. She took the opportunity to ask about players, especially her favourite Lucas-Rodd. Was told he didn't know her situation specifically but we had signed up 21 players to return etc etc. He confirmed Davey was GONE and said the Club's position was simple:

"If you don't want to play at Carlton then don't." Bitter much?

Whilst on the face of it a captain approaching another club trying to get traded is a dog act, it would appear Collingwood's offer to her is massive and way above what we could/would pay. Weare not talking about the men's equivalent where the issue might be "do I make $5mill or $6 mill over the next 4 years", here it is a choice between an income that probably stops you from being a full time footballer and an income that allows you to be a full time footballer and I think that puts it in a very different perspective. Add to that the fact that she stayed last year when the Collingwood offer was again way better than ours (although we went up I don't think we were close to matching) and I think maybe sacrificing her self-interest again is asking a lot.

Too bad, so sad. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out. Wish I could say we wont miss your presence on field but we still have Maddie P and a swag of other lesser knowns but girls who noneless want to stick fat and play in the ol' Dark Navy, bringing new glory to this magnificent club.

So glad that Darcie V has signed on, as well Taylor Harris, our twin terrors, and 18 other up and coming champions.

We also have a pretty good haul of draft picks to further set ourselves up for enduring strength and glory.
