I wouldn't be surprised if the Ladies' guernsey is built on the template Nike use for the Matildas.

I am over the moon Carlton will field a women's team as a foundation club (again).

Here in Sydney our team where Mark Maclure came from, the Eastern Sydney Bulldogs we have 60 women playing for the first time this year. The standard is really good and there's a bit of agro shown

Keep our jumper with something on it to acknowledge the women's team, sure.

Doesn't seem to be a long enough season. 8 weeks?

My family will make the effort to watch a few of their games each year.

Now we have The AFL Blues, The VFL Northern Blues, and The AFL Women's Blues. I love it.

Go Blues.

I'm also over the moon Carlton has a foundation women's team. I really didn't think we'd make the cut, having been away for a few weeks I was rapt to come home and discover we'd made it into the initial women's league.

Don't know whether this has been posted anywhere yet but Darcy Vescio is heading to Carlton from Darebin Falcons. Very creative forward. Won the league goal kicking in the Under 14 Wangaratta District Football League playing against the boys.

Great girl. Exceptional character. Will play as a high forward/full forward.

Good get for the team

Currently playing with Darebin Falcons.

Probably, besides Hope, one of the premier forwards in the VWFL

I went to the game last night. A friend who is a Doggies fan bought a scarf for their Women's team which looked like a design they already had with "Bulldogs Women's Team 2017" added on the ends and pink trim. So i suspect this is what will be the go with any Womens specific merch. Darcy is apparently helping out with our design for the jersey, but yeah like most i don't really see what needs to be added, perhaps pink trim on the sleeves

I can just imagine our whiteboard.

"Offer Sydney pick 5 and the Hendo pick for Tom Mitchell".

"Write to GM re Carrots and the RS award".

"Ask ZT how the flower do you actually spell his name".

Two of our girls in Darcy Vescio and Bri Davey looked like pretty good selections from what I saw of them on Saturday.
One, a rock solid defender, and the other a flashy, x-factor forward.
Going by those two quality selections, maybe our recruiting IP is worth something after all.

Why do the top clubs kick spies out of training?

I guess you stand right behind someone when they're using an ATM.

Break and entering doesn't apply to locked houses. They allegedly entered a closed corporate box. You can just see a passionate Carlton fan and recruiting expert sitting on the Princes Park fence and shouting at Shane O'Sullivan like Max Cady.

Not quite on topic, but congrats to Mick Stinear ex Blue rookie and current Oakleigh Chargers coach on getting the gig as coach of the Demons womens team. Had the pleasure of dealing with Mick when he was organising a girls half time match at the MCG in which my daughter was playing and day of the game we got the news through my mother was dying. Mick was fantastic in helping organise so my daughter could play the game (as my Mum would have wanted) while my wife and I went to Mum's side. Really put himself out and came across as a genuinely nice bloke.
