Following media reports late this afternoon concerning an injury to Nick Stevens the Carlton Football Club wishes to confirm the following.

Nick did have precautionary scans on his neck this afternoon after feeling some discomfort following Saturday’s game. The scans were precautionary as Nick missed the final two games of 2006 with a neck injury.

Importantly Nick trained this morning, is not on the Carlton injury list and confirmed late this afternoon that he expects to be playing in Sunday’s round 4 match against West Coast Eagles in Perth.

Going well this week is Channel Seven... No ethical concerns here

Eddie would be just itching to pounce, yet the ratings suggest that we, the public, are lapping it all up.

He is booked for "On The Couch" tonight on Foxtel so we will know soon enough

I can't believe someone from Carlton is "On the Couch" :-D

I have been e-mailing that flower producer Bill Cannon for 2 seasons saying that we never get a go.

I was really hoping that Sheedy or that snivelling squealing diving you know what would be on

Yes, well, can you email my bloody wife, I have to sit through friggin Desperate Hosewives while On the Couch is getting taped!

Spoke positively about the club

Did anyone notice his neck looked a bit red?? :?

Nick was quite subdued and evasive about the injury on Foxtel

Said he only got the injury late last season.

anything to do with the neck can be very serious. Hopefully the scan results come back OK. Because Nick is a good player, and despite that outside of footy any type of neck injury could have ramifications for his whole life.

Hopefully everything is OK.

very carefully worded statement there from the club, saying not on the injury list rather than not injured....hope if its possible to get it right with some rest they let him do that because its a serious injury and nick would be a much greater asset for us if he was fully fit. *Fingers crossed*

Weren't we supposed to hear something about the extent of the injury today?

Did I miss anything? Is he fit to play?

Last night, Channel 7 was making out it was season ending... :?
