Hypotheticaly, if Dennis Pagan became ill, quit his position or got the boot - who in your opinion would be the next senior coach of the Blues, who is the best available option at this point to take over if the something happened like that ?? - remember this is only a question ok ??

how dare you make a spelling mistake.....

and actually answering the question that was posted, i would think that first in line would be barry mitchell.....is doing a great job with the 'ants and his enthusiasm is awesome.

doubt denis will go anywhere though.

Yup, with his 3 year contract, and our finances, we can't afford to pay him out and he'l be our coach for a while. Based on that, a hypothetical is a bit of a pointless exercise at the moment...

Denis is fit these days and won't get ill. He might get poached though because wether we like the results or not as carlton rebuild he is a good coach and other teams know it.

i wouldnt mind having barry mitchell in the top job. Peter Dean would also be interesting - thought he took up some sort of role with the bullants last season though havent heard much since.

Only slightly. We'd only have to pay someone like Barry Mitchell just a little more than we're paying now. Given Denis has to be paid anyway whether he coaches or not, as well as Mitch being there anyway, it may not be the big extra financial burden you think.

Bullants win the flag this year then Mitchell would come into contention as he is seen as a good coach of youth which is what our new president is now embracing....Mitchell would also be cheap being a 1st time senior coach and maybe tempt the club into dispensing with Pagan a bit earlier than expected even with a pay out...

If I read or hear that Smorgan has come and said both he and the board fully support Denis Pagan then I know he is gone....
I think Denis needs a win this week vs Tigers and one win out of either the Ess or Collingwood games or the knives might be out...

yep.... and criticising without articulating your insight indicates your mental prowess, jbee. Your posts a million times more biliious because you're just eating up space on the page with uninteresting self-references.
