Post subject:  Livo to play on Friday night?

This has been mentioned in amongst a few other threads but I thought it would be better to make it an official thread.

Anyway, PagansBroResurrected has posted a thread on TBV stating that Livo is a good chance of playing on Friday night against the Bombers.

Few interesting posts in there.
Especially from Juzzjoff.

He has amazing recuperative powers. Wasn't it a couple of seasons back where he played the same week he badly hurt his knee at training?

Perhaps we should consider putting knives in Livo's knuckles that can come out at will.

Don't play him unless he is 100% fit. The Dons only have one key forward we need to worry about, so he wont be a huge loss this week.

He came out with the rehab group this morning at training. Did the handball with Walks and T-Bird then went to the gym. The ankle was well strapped and I can only presume he has only twisted it badly. If he had torn ligaments you'd expect he wouldn't be able to put any weight on it at this early stage.

Maybe not this Friday but possibly only the one game miss.

Walks had a small bandage on his calf. Harlett a small knee bandage, T-Bird the full leg brace. Chambers ran laps and went in.

This is promising news. I hope for our sakes he comes back soon. If he plays Friday he would be an ok match for Rocca, who prefers the body on body, as Luke struggles a bit with fast leading types.

May well also be a boost to Luke's confidence to miss through injury then get rushed straight back into the 1s.

Yeah, leave Livo out if he's not fully fit.

Bring in Karl and put some heat on him. Give him the top job (Lucas?) and turn up the heat on him... pressure to perform. Lucas is a good match for Karl, because Lucas is essentially shit and has been playing off a reputation he did bugger all to deserve, since 2000.

Just reported on fox footy "luke has been cleared of any damage to his knee and is a chance to play on friday night"

Although the footage of him did not look to flash. He was limping pretty severly.

Nail - head.

Couldn't agree more - why risk Livo now? We've been patient this long, what's another week or two going to do?

Isolate Norman on Lucas, with assistance from Teague/Morrell. We can cover a bottom four forward line, which is all the dons have without Lloyd.
