Just what this side needed.

We played badly today, but we also only played as well as we were allowed to. Laidley and the Roos did their home work, laid a plan, and stuck to it. Hunted from the stands we were (that's another Paganism).

They out ran us all day, the midfield matchups went their way, and Fev and FBS were double and triple teamed all day. Add to that some bad misses (Davies: 1 goal 3 behinds, and others he is just who comes to mind), and the failure to convert ball dominance became fatal.

This serves to remind us that March champions are not relevant in September. Home and away is a different tempo, its more intense and harder - think of Thursday.

Maybe we had begun to belive the hype. If so, not any more. And I for one am wrapt that its happened round one, not round 6.

Oh and Danny boy - there's another reason to "hate" the Roos.

BTW that's four first round lossess over the last four years!

We will bounce high and hard.

Watch out Bumbers!!!!
