| It's only Round 1 but it's been such a long time between drinks that Carlton supporters have to be given the opportunity to celebrate. Let's hope the drought is over. | |

| Great work Denis.Nice of you to let go of the 90 's and drag yourself into the new century. We played a completely differant game style, and it worked. Its all about possesion and more importantly,TEMPO these days.Great work from the coaching box. | |

| I still don't see how it was different to Pagan's Paddock at all. They got the right blokes in the right spots and they did the right things. We took advantage of our stronger bodies when possible to wear down our opponents and we laid great tackles when that wasn't to our advantage. Fantastic defensive pressure. Got a bit of tunnel vision from time to time but that's one hell of an injection of confidence. | |

| London Blue....it is Denis, he's listening to you. It just proves that if the long kicking plan doesn't work in the new mellinium, you go to plan B....tune into TC. London Blue you did say pre season that Livo was ready, and that if he stands up the rest will fall into place. Good roughie. I'm not sure how much Denis has had to do with it, but isn't amazing what a big influence time has had on the team of youngsters. . Geez, they have put on a bit of muscle, they all did put their head over the ball, and they lasted the distance and finished the game, and the opposition. Red didn't look too slow, and his timing and positioning....wow. Kouta is an inspiration for these young guys. The founadtions and inspiration for a great future are there; no doubt. Next is consistency I'm dancing!!! Go Blues. | |

Got a bit of tunnel vision from time to time but that's one hell of an injection of confidence. the difference is that the game plan allowed players to use shorter options than in previous years under Pagan. It stood out that players were running short to make 30m rather than 50m options, and they were being used. Definite change in game plan from majority long bomb contested game plan of previous years, although we were still getting more players behind the ball than Melbourne. But it worked against their game. | |

| Nah Rambo being saying they all pretty boys for years, worrying about if the hair gets messed up for the camera,or get a scratch, toughen them up use the weights, they there for a reason, not for spiderwebs, all they need now is to grow beards and start smelling bad when they go on the field, that will make the other teams afraid to go near them, ha ha. | |

| We moved the ball a lot quicker. Not waiting forever while allowing the opposition to cover everyone. | |

| sorry ponkstar, my fault for starting the thread....there was a hint of sarcasm about it all on my behalf. i was just wrapped that the fellas (like denis) have come out first game of the season and turned it on. ....a win can do wonders (and hopefully for the negative ones amongst us as well!) | |
