About time Collo came out with a statement letting us know the REAL situation at the club. I'm afraid, this doesn't happen often enough.

I think our PR staff should be cleaned out as they've been there too long and are reactive rather than proactive - this includes I.Coutts.

When Couttsy is allowed of the leash he can write some pretty good stuff, but I think his hands are tied most of the time.

Its time our Board/Senior Administration went on the front foot.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at the AGM. Hopefully we'll get a detailed report from a TC'er ;)

a nothing article - no details provided and given the track record could be considered all fluff

[quote]“The Carlton Football Club and Social Club have been working for over two years to develop a proposal to provide elite training facilities at Princes Park and we are confident the momentum gained over these two years and through our discussions with the AFL, the State Government and Melbourne City Council will bear fruit sooner rather than later,â€

Why not let all of us in on your plan Ian?

I'm sure you'll get a lot more passengers on the journey if you're open about what's install.

If it is part of a three year plan to post such huge losses then I want to know what the rest of the plan is.

Dear Mr Collins AM,

Recently the club held a press conference which was chaired by yourself and the CEO of the CFC to announce the financial results for the previous year. You and the CEO had the opportunity to state the results and then put a positive spin on the future of the club.

For whatever reason, you and the CEO decided to give to media more ammunition than the Australian Wheat Board gave to Saddam Hussien, they well and truly laid the boots into the club.

Since then we have seen the club back pedal and try and put out as many positve messages it can possibly release. I thank you for your service to the club during a difficult period but it is time you moved on and we appoint a candidate who can direct and lead the club in a new phase of its life.

Fair point.

As for blueslander - you'd assume they would have anticipated an income loss for the Social Club when they shifted grounds. :)
