Quote: There has recently been some bewildering media comment to the effect that Carlton is struggling for sponsors. It couldn’t be further from the truth.
In 2006, Optus, Dan Murphy’s, K & S Freighters and Nike will again demonstrate their partnership with Carlton through branding on the player’s uniforms. In an exciting development, over the next few weeks we will be launching a 2006 coach sponsor, a new venue naming right sponsor and an exciting new team outfit sponsor. When the new signings are announced, it will be a significant step in a 2 year program that has lead to Carlton having one of the strongest and most diverse sponsorship portfolios in Australian team sports. |

Well thank goodness for that!!!! I know the coach has a sponsor and has been signed for a couple of weeks. The ground sponsor is something we definitely need.. I hope its big enough where they mention how large the sponsorship is,... |

You must have a certain measure of integrity. Joe Bloggs would pretend he has some sort of inside source. ![]() ![]() |

Nice. By the sounds of that we're about to re-join the big league. Anybody who reads BRW or something along those lines want to put that in proper terms for me? How far up the financial ladder can we climb exactly, I would have thought only a handful of AFL teams and some NRL ones would be in our way, that's still pretty significant if I'm reading into it right though. |

I like the sound of the team outfit sponsor, because the Nike stuff is the same quality as a Patrick Smith article..... |

I am slightly confused, how can we have a new team outfit sponsor when Nike branding is and will be on our current jumpers. Am I interpreting the term "outfit sponsor" incorrectly? |

Yeah, that thought has crossed my mind too. I guess we'll find out soon enough. |

Great news for the CFC, foundations are being laid for a solid future by a competent administration. Pity this news was not highlighted earlier. Would have reduced the board bashing from over zealous members. Up the mighty Blues a taste of finals in 2008. ciao. ![]() |

Maybe we are going with "Zegna" as our Team Outfitters for "Brownlow Medal" & Black Tie Events. ![]() |

spuddie wrote: The latest issue of "BRW" has an article on the healthy state of the AFL and NRL, including a table that indicates that $A10.09 million of Carlton's $A19.80 million revenue comes from sponsorship (admittedly it includes merchandising revenue). The Pies' revenue from sponsorship is given as $A14.18 million, but their total reveue is listed as $A38.61 million.
Pardon my ignorance, but where is that other $A24 million coming from? So we're looking at around 3 million dollar injection into the club? Good estimate? Those figures also show that the club will need to invest our profits well and develop alternative revenue strategies for the club if possible. We're just over half of the pies revenue ![]() |
