And gees I was relieved when the game finished.

Watt didn't do that much. Their defensive set up was really good, and we were a bit cramped.

Firrito is a bloody turkey. He was on Kouta, from what I could see.

I'm not happy that we lost to North, let me tell you. They deserved the win, but we were just crap. To lose to a team fielding Watt and Firrito is a scathing indictment on our mindset/preparation. We rely on too much brilliance from too few, and have too many tradesmen. We were too clustered up forward, and didn't counter that effectively. Too many men ran loose in the last when the game was still up for grabs.

Well done to them. They beat a flat opponent by fielding a team built from a bottom 3 list. Overall, pretty crappy day.

Umpiring was poor, I felt.. overcooked.... but props to the umps for not paying Brent Harvey, that cheating little testicle, holding the man decisions when he flicks the ball forward as he's tackled, then dives forward. Yep, Finals footy North played yesterday.

This is a kick in the guts. If we can't beat North, we don't deserve to play finals. We need to improve in every department to get over Essendon*, and even challenge a GOOD team.

Leigh Brown is being hailed as a hero in the papers for keeping Fevola quiet with 3 goals, yet Sav Rocca is also being pumped up for only kicked one more than Fev. Guess it shows the expectations on Fevola this season.

Archer got what he wanted, he sent a message to Watt via the Footy Show that Fev had cained him in recent games and he needed to improve. Hard to tell if Fev did or didn't say what was alleged, but it suited Archers purpose. And despite his incredible image Archer is not above streeching the truth, as he streeches the rules on the football field.

Was it ozzie jones who tried the old "Brisbane don't respect up ploy before thursday game". I think he maybe right now as they lost. Player and clubs do it constantly for their own advantage. I don't believe Fev said it, until I see it come from his own mouth. It worked for North this time but maybe not next time, Watt played well because he was the loose extra guy for most of the match.
