I hate to bitch at such a great dawning of the club, but having paid for my membership more than a month ago, I rang the department a fortnight ago, to check on the status of my goodies. I was told that it would be a week til I got it. The membership dept is aware of my number, address, and the fact that I'm an interstate member, and don't require reserved seating, or anything like that.
This morning I checked again, having waited more than the week, giving them the benefit of the doubt (I'm sure the department is flat chat, so I'm prepared to cut them some slack) only to be told that my membership still hadn't been processed (even after my last call), and it wouldn't be sent before the start of the season.
Not good enough.
I'm sure none of the people down at PP for the Family day yesterday copped that, so why should I, having waited more than a month?
the wait I can handle, it's the fact that my membership wasn't even acted on after I made a call to check on it and make sure that I would have all my stuff before the season started.
IMO, this lets us down as supporters, and by extension lets the club down. If the club knew there would be an influx of members, they should have got some extra staff to cope, or more volunteers to work in the membership dept to take up the slack.

Hang in there KK, I'm sure your stuff will arrive soon enough. It took a while for our goodies to arrive as well, but we made it. Think of it this way, maybe they're flat out processing all the membership applications that are still coming in to have time to send stuff out. Not ideal I agree, but hopefully that's one of the reasons for the delay.

In the meantime, vent your frustrations here:

KK that's pretty good.
I paid in December last year and got my goodies last week.
You are lucky.

Yeah its frustrating KK, -I paid for mine last November and only just got mine.
I agree that the adminstrative handling seems slow.

I renewed mine on the 26th Feb and got all my stuff today. 3 packages arrived this morning by courier (all the kids stuff) and the wife and mine in the mail.

I guess they might be just around the corner.

I'm disappointed that the membership card didn’t have the “member sinceâ€

In Melbourne Camel.
Just have a silver family membership with my little girl registered as the 2 children. Also have my little girl as a babyblue member.
I was just about to leave for work when the doorbell rang, went to the front door and nobody was there but the 3 packages and a courier van pulling out of the driveway.

We paid up back in November and got the goods about 2 weeks ago.
Having converted from Social Club to Premium Gold Seats I was anxious about where we might end up sitting. I asked for a call back so that I could pick from whatever seats were available. I was very impressed that the call came through and happy with the seats - near the 50 line at the Dome and the G.

I think the thing which really irks me is that nothing was acted on, even after my original phone call, and then I found out that 3000 memberships had been sent a few days after my call yesterday. That's a lot of work, I know, but potentially 3000 people who joined after I did (I paid for mine when the tally was 17,000 members, it's now past 25K).
I'm being patient, I was just hoping to get my stuff before the start of the season.

KK, the membership dept stuffed mine up as well but in a completely opposite way to your situation. I received my SC membership last week (about 2 weeks after signing up). I was happy about that.... and then last night I received another package from the membership dept- I now have 2 sets of Interstate SC membership! :?

Only received them last night so haven't checked out the numbers yet. Thinking of sending them back to the club. :?

You know what, it really is shit.

My father and i every year since they introduced- we go the payment over 4 months options, yet we have yet to actually get our membership stuff in a comfortable period which doesnt require either one of us ringing up and asking what the hell is going on.

We agree to membership in early decemeber and then the club proceeds to take out the cash every month from there on out.

Well, here we are, 4 days from the first game and we still dont have our memberships.

Now, we are both SC17 members so waiting for our first home game isnt an option for us as we go everygame and the first game of the season is an away game so we need our membership to get in.

It certainly gets frustrating - and i dont accept the excuse that they have alot to handle - we sent out memberships in early december so why couldnt they send it out earlier knowing that if they get on top of it early they will most likely make their own jobs easier further down the track.

Going to call the club now and see what is going on.

You do, but if you rmembership is sent in the mail like mine yesterday you may have to go down to the club and present your card for your hat..
I just got back from OO with my 4 caps.

Saw in the backround that there were heaps of membership packages about to be sent out...
