Sydney Williams, Paul 294 32 Kirk, Brett 123 29 Hall, Barry 179 28 O'Loughlin, M 222 28 Barry, Leo 171 28 Crouch, J 182 27 Mathews, B 159 27 Goodes, A 161 25 Fosdike, Nic 116 25 Bolton, Jude 139 25 Davis, Nick 130 25 Bolton, Craig 103 25 Carlton Koutoufides, A 249 32 French, B 113 30 Lappin, M 214 29 McGrath, C 59 26 Longmuir, T 82 26 Whitnall, L 179 26 Saddington, J 142 26 Chambers, C 64 26 Stevens, N 169 26 Scotland, H 94 25 Prendergast, I 62 25 This is a comparison of Carlton and Sydneys 25+ players. I've put in bold the senior players who are the reason we are down the bottom. Discounting those strugglers we have 5 decent 25+ players to Sydneys 12. |

He came good at the end of the year but he has been inconsistent and was dropped. He is the best out of the bolds. Seriously though Kouta and Lance get a pasting here and look at what they have around them compared to the Sydney senior group. |

... Saddington, J 142 26 ![]() Didn't think Kirk was that old. And putting Saddington as one of our problems when he a) hasn't played a game for Carlton, and b) would have been in SYDNEY'S list had he not been traded is a little harsh. The rest I pretty much agree with. |

Discounting those strugglers we have 5 decent 25+ players to Sydneys 12. Bit harsh considering Saddington is not only yet to play a game, but would've been Sydney's 13th decent senior player over 25 in 2006, had we not traded for him. ![]() Btw, claiming those other players "reasons we are down the bottom" is clutching at straws, at best. Not to mention that only one of them has been with the club for more than a couple of years. |

I put Saddington in cause he is a Sydney reject, he may come good time will tell. Either way nitpicking aside look at the two lists and then tell me Kouta is the problem. Tell me Lance is the problem. You can blame Kouta till the sun comes up but the older players around him are right there for all to see. |

Come on Sydney, I'm no Pagan fan either but they guys I put in bold don't make Sydneys squad let alone team. |

Richards and Chambers are also rejects but the Swans view them as players who can win them another flag. We can't afford to finish last again and playing Teague on Stafford again will win us another spoon. Saddington did on 7 occasions last year and I wouldn't rate Spriggs (25 in 23 days) who should be on that list as a better footballer than David Clarke. |

I think he's trying to make the point that Sydney are more likely to win the premiership this season with their squad than we are. Gee, thats a shocker.... I thought we were dead certs for it..... ![]() |

Nah don't worry about age, it is TEAM that's the difference right? Afterall what Carlton is lacking is TEAM, you can't win a flag without TEAM and Sydney have TEAM in spades. |

What a surprise!!!! We finished 14 places apart!!! Perhaps your point is that Pagan should invent a spaceship and collect time-altering chronotons from the Tempest nebula and get Walker and Murphy on them, so they can get to 25 sooner? At least I save most of my nonsense for the nonsense forums. I recognise I'm a timeslot hit. I can't wait for the next thread where we list how few crap Sydney players under 25 they have as opposed to ours. |

This thread was to highlight that our captain is not the reason why we are shite. Tyrant you weren't involved in any of the million discussions over the last week so don't stick your neck in when you don't know what its about. |

No, It's the Swans who are ahead of us. Our so-called leadership group are insisting on calling them potato cakes, which is causing confusion in any of the players from outside Victoria. This confusion, and the other players' love for Potato Scallops is causing tension in the team. That's why we are shite at the moment. When the Victorians accept that it's potato scallops, we'll be on our way to our next flag. |
