Any going to surprise us next year? Personally i think Wiggo , Davies and Bannister are a chance. I also think Livo will be good value. |

Maybe Davies if they give him a fair run but I bet Pagan will keep playing his dud pets who have had numerous chances and have failed miserably. |

yeah i agree... 3 years for Lance is way too long... especially when we had to create a possie for him .... because anything orthodox in this day and age he is a square peg in a round hole. |

![]() Seriously Synbad do you have any idea why McCormick and Beasy weren't given much of an opportunity? They had more talent than Wiggins or Livo but rarely got a go. I am seeing the same with Davies, when he gets a game it's off the bench in a forward pocket while the ball is at the other end cause we are getting spanked. |

Always liked Jordan Bannister as a player and hope he can kick start his career again..seemed to lose confidence last season after a promising first season. We lack a bit of speed as I have said before and I think Bannister and Chambers might get some opportunities as they are two of the fitter, quicker players at the club. Bannister's main downfall has been his erratic disposal, hope the coaching panel have put some work into his kicking and decision making over the summer...I also think with a taller list he wont get so many stopping roles on oversized players as along with Teague I think this has affected his game and ruined his confidence.. |

Money aside Synbad, hasn't this dud been given enough chances? His game on Tarrant last year showed how far away he is from being a decent backman. He wins a one contest with a forward and we all sit in the crowd and cheer like lemmings, until we realise he should do that at least 5 times out of 10, at least. he seems to watch the man 95% of the time and never have either confidence or skill to back his judgement and follow the ball. He doesn't have the bulk to play a man on man game in the backline. I'm with Elwood about Bannister, I reckon he shows a bit. Not sure if Chambers fits in C Grade but surely his Wizard Cup long running goals can't have been a mirage? |

We sit and marvel when he kicks a hard goal but seem to miss the fact he should be kicking many more, especially with the scoring shots and chances he gets. At least Livo doesn't get red carded (only the second player to do so in recent years) for little petulant acts in a second grade competition |

I really hope Longmuir, Houlihan, Davies and Bryan click next year. All three have a touch of class but seriously lack in certain departments. If those four consistantly perform at senior level (if given the chance) we'll have GREAT depth. |

Jeez....it's not even 2006 yet, and we're Pagan bashing again....at every opportunity.....give it a rest! |

With all due respect Athorn, 2004 WAS last year. ![]() That said, the quarter he played on Tarrant was horrendous in the extreme. He's got two ways to go, does Livo. I reckon Deluca and Sporn are the two best chances to make the grade again. Deluca for being Denis' lovechild, and Sporn if he stops getting injured. |

I'm thinking of a night game when Tarrant, of all hacks, kicked about 5 and had Livo jumping at his own shadow. |

But bainuzz Livo was killed in 1 quarter, i think it was the last game when Fev gave up that free, but Livo was taken off in the first quarter and didnt see the grass again. Its all well & good to bag a player on performances but I thought nuzz got the wrong game, ah well. Theres a post on here recently where all Livo's 2005 games were rated, and he was more than serviceable in some. We just have to get the matchups right. People crap on about him being crap, and he is limited on certain opposition like Gehrig and Hall, but I reckon you have to acknowledge his performances when theyr'e good. I still wouldn't pick him to be a star C grader in 2006 though. I think 1. Houlihan 2. Russell 3. Walker will have break through years. Not sure if Russell and Walker are C graders but they are youngsters who will get a shot. For true C graders probably Bryan but I cant see Prendergast, Wiggins or bannister getting too many games. Our list is being addressed for height but not for pace so any one who isn't really tall, skilled or really toey will find it tough. |

Maybe we should have played the champion footballer Lance on Tarrant at the time instead....???? Tarrant would have maybe kicked more than Templeton kicked that day against a hapless StKilda side. I think you should take into account how the ball was travelling into our backline.. due to the shackles our midfield put onto theirs.. led by some of our senior players . People keep getting sucked in by things that are not in their true context..... Not that Livo is a gun but he might become as servicable as Max Hudgton or Presti who arent much chop themeselves but due to abit of work further up the ground dont have their nerves shot... Thats probably because there is a standard!! I keep harping back to that one word.. "STANDARD" .. something we lack... And Livo/Wiggo/Carazz/Sporn/Walker/Betts arent the players you look to for a STANDARD... Kouta Lance Stevens Campo are/were. |

Stupid comparison, that's like saying Wiggins got beat on someone, "oh well why didn't you put Lance on him?" I expect far better from you. Maybe like the Carlton side after the Wizard Cup, my expectations are too high. And saying 'What about the way the ball was delivered" well hang on, what about the fact that the ball was lobbed in about 5 times and Livo showed no judgement at all, ran under it, around it and over it, but never got the @#$%&! thing, it wasn't as if Tarrant was having the ball delivered down his throat the whole time, maybe once or twice which I wouldn't ever hold him accountable for, even SOS got beat some times. Also, when I tried to to say if our middle was better and Lance got better delivery he would have better results you wouldn't have a bar of it??? You gotta show some sort of consistency. |
