Saw this on the site, a few hours after asking about Bannisters training form. Sounds like he is gunning for key positions rather than run with roles, that sounds like a change in career to me?

You're all gonna kill me for this but when it looked like Lance would be traded in 2004, I was thinking about potential CHFs and I wondered why this bloke's name never came up. Tall, athletic, good hands...seems like a good recipe to me. Could even make a 'defensive' CHF, ala Duke.

2005 wasn't the greatest year (duh halford) but he can make it back. It's a matter of whether he will.

Could any serious Bullant watcher tell me if Bannister had ever played forward?

I dunno halford, he just seems to have to be lead to a ball rather than finding it himself. I reckon when he gets it he's good but the problem is getting the ball. As a forward he'd chase his defender all day, which might work if that defender is Gaspar but I dont' think Bannister is that sort of player?

by the way what does thehalford mean?

I guess, I wasn't thinking seriously but you're right, he does seem to be a reactive player rather than a proactive one, hence his use as a tagger et al.

Hmm sorry but couldnt help it but this just seems to be a influence from someone who has left may have been fairly responsible for the remark of "not criticising" which was what i think a lot of observers felt happened last year
So hopefully with this umm Negative influence gone there will be a lot more of the guys pushing each other and setting a nice positive vibe

How about played well? The only time I saw Bannister had made the best players was in the finals, I think in the last game of the year, when he played at Centre Half Back.

Jordans one of my favourite players and I have pushed his case for senior games but he needs to play like he trains and last season he dissapointed me with some erratic disposal and poor decision making.
He wont play a senior game as a key position player unless we have injuries on mass and for me his best spot would be on the half back flank or as a bench player who could be introduced into the game to shut down a player who was destroying us. Unless he gets to the next level by becoming smarter he will be a victim of the cull down the track and that would dissapoint me as l like his attitude to fitness and the enthused way he goes about his football....
