Been sorting through a few things and happened upon a stack of Carlton memories.

Below, an U19 team featuring two Koutoufides:

The red lines were my doing, marking off who made the senior team. The Melbourne side had a better hit ratio than we did!

How hot was Tommi Alvin?
:-D

We all remember the mark...but here's a clipping with a few more frames of action:

Sticks! What a man! He was brilliant, but human:

Cute cartoon of Milham:

I've got thousands more.

You will notice on the wing one "Corkery" this was Colin Corkery and was our first go at an "Irish Player", you Colin was a spindly lad of around 190cm and quite talented at the Gaelic Game, he got homesick and went back to Ireland and became a star Gaelic Footballer, representing Ireland in the International Rules Series as well. Perhaps Beano or Kevin Bohane can fill in with further details.

I remember little of him, other than he had a penchant for beer. About two or three years ago he was playing for Ireland against us and was built up as some sort of legend of the (Irish) game. And weighed in well over 100kg from memory.

The messy handwriting behind some of the above pics is there because I used some of my Yr5 (1984) exercise books as a scrapbook (once I was in like Yr10 or something...no idea why I still had them then). Have cropped out anything which might embarrass me.

Will photgraph and post anything else I think might be interesting.

Great stuff verbs - cheers.

The boarding house one reminds me of me & my housemate at the end of 1992 when we were 19. Saw an ad in the paper by CFC asking for lodgings for young interstate recruits. At the time we needed a housemate...& were both too naive to realise they were really after a family environment where the youngsters would be fed, clothes cleaned, etc.

I rocked up to reception & asked to speak to Geoff Walsh. When he came down I explained we were a couple of uni blokes looking for a housemate & fitted the bill perfectly...we lived in Nth Carlton after all!

Surprised old Geoff managed to keep a straight face throughout

Was the Robertson listed Ben Robertson? I have a vague memory of him playing one or two senior games...

I thought that there were two Koutoufides. I can remember many years ago seeing one or two U19 games where they were both playing, but because of the lack any mention of another Kouta playing U19's I was starting to think that I had imagined it. Thanks Verbs!

It's a funny thing demand....I had a spare '95 Carlton Premiership Team Jigsaw; brand new and still in the box.

When assembled; it was about 2ft.x 2ft. and a fantastic photo of the team running towards you at PP.

Nobody I knew wanted it, and I ended up in Chapel St. where there are a lot of footy memorabilia shops.

One store was wall to wall with jigsaws from all Clubs and wasn't interested.....so I gave it to an Opportunity Shop.

Deano - it was at a store on the third level near mac chucks. Vik asked if they had any other CFC memorabilia and they didnt however im sure they could probably order another. It was a print of all of them like a team photo except with the cup included and a bit of history from the year. It also has all their signatures around it (not original). Just informed the store is called golden years collect ph02 9687 7943.

The pic is timber framed in landscape a bit bigger than 900*600mm.
Cost just under 200 (prob too much but I dont care).

Hope this is off assistance.

I have a huge photo album with every single article/pic/player stats from a news paper in 1983. Old man put together, I love it.

Plus I have a copy of the 1981 grand final DVD signed by Kenny Hunter.
(thanks TBV 8))
