Yes Mr Cee…..

Very sad….Rest In Peace Bongo…

Skyhooks played a big part of my teen years…
we filled our sets with “Living in the 70’s” songs….

It was Bongo’s riffs that made that band…and
Greg’s songs of course….not to mention Freds drumming…
Shirl’s voice was legendary…and then there was Red….

Fav’s….whatever happened to the revolution…Carlton…
(Of course)…and Freds drumming on Motorcycle bitch
is MENTAL…

Rest In Peace Bongo…

Tommi

Bob was a brilliant guitarist and fun bloke.

Met Bob and Greg at our shop as a teen, then got to hang out with the lads a few times in my 20’s through Mushroom contacts ( sounds suss). Went swimming with Red one night at Bondi when it was polluted in the early 90’s. He got really sick. I didn’t put my head under into that shit…. then got to know Shirl in his late 30’s when dated a best friend.

Great memories. Skyhooks always been a constant. Never forget the look on my boys faces when they first heard Living in the 70’s album when they were 5 and 9 driving to Melbourne. Skyhooks became their fave band ever.

Reminded me of the Skyhooks vs Sherbert fans, and back in the Bon Scott days, debating which was the best Australian band ever Skyhooks or AC/DC. Oldies we’re sure it was The Easybeats.

RIP Bob.
