Just read the article.

Can I simply say that no-one who is not "of Carlton" will understand the last three years. Fatprick may call it a whinge, but that fails to recognise the devastation to all of us.

It is pure and simply the old jealousy arising again: Take that Carlton, you've had your success, you cheated, and you should cop your penalty sweet.

Fatprick hates that we are back, as do all the others. They wish we were still down, not enjoying victory, as we are. They think it is too short a time. We know how it hurt - all of us - Collo, Pagan, Kouta, all of us, who lived through the horror of Black Friday.

What Collo said was not a whinge, it was a genuine expression of the pain and suffering of us all, and that Fatprick calls it a whinge underlies the lack of understanding by all concerned (including the AFL) of the devastating impact of their punitive and destructive penalty.

Good on you collo - I for one agree with you.

Fatprick: I will now no longer read your column. You've gone too far once too often.

I really wouldn't bother complaining about it; surely that's his only aim with stuff like this? I think he actually enjoys getting negative emails from people.

Think about it - why else would he write it? THe Australian is a second grade AFL paper and is no one's source of info. All they can do is try to stir up a bit of trouble, and what better way than a big shite-stirrer. You're playing into his trap by bothering to read it.

As soon as no one reads his twaddle he loses his job.

Doesn't even hide the fact he follows St Kilda.

" they are at the forefront of everything" including having flower like russ holmesby and you as supporters and journo's.

I think it was somewhat poetic that Patrick has decided to put aside his jolly little columns about women's golf and decide to slug the Blues for his first footy column of the year.

I like to read Patrick's column because I find it amusing and bewildering. I think it's funny to think that out there somewhere one or two people are going "Oh that Patrick Smith, he cuts right to the bone doesn't he. And I just love that writing style."

Otherways, i don't mind the Australian content too much; I actually think Chip Le Grand is one of the better, less biased journos going around.

Yep, leave the personal abuse out please.

While I question St Fidelius's choice of football club  , he's been very good here and has been quite supportive of the blues over at saintsational.

now if you had said "flower like nexus nick" well, then I whole heartedly agree.

My work gets the The Age, The Herald Sun and The Australian everyday in reception for our guests/customers. Each day I scan the sports pages of The Age and the Herald Sun for any snippets on the Blues. I think so highly of the Australian sports section that I can honestly say (Even though it wouldnt cost me a cent to do so) I have NEVER picked up The Australian to look for any footy news!!
