Thanks to every Carlton supporter who went to the game on Saturday night. What a fantastic atmosphere!! It truly was a sea of Blue and White!

I haven’t as yet had the chance to see the TV coverage so I’m not sure how it looked and sounded, but the noise inside the stadium was inspiring. Each time we booted a goal the crowd around the ground stood as one and the waving of the flags showed the incredible support the blues had on the night! The chanting…. Carlton…Carlton…Carlton…. rocked the Dome like it has never witnessed before – spine chilling stuff!!!!! And it happened over and over and over again!!!!!!!!

3 moments stand out for me. The first was when the team came onto the ground….magic.

The second was Prenda’s super goal – I’m sure the stadium shook.

And the third was the final siren and hearing 40,000 blues fans sing that song! As Rex said on the radio….â€

Great atmosphere and great game. Close and hard.

Good beers with the TC boys. Hello all. Danny, Tommi, Tyro, PJ, Jarusa, SS, CK (and the really big lump of a kid who's name I've lost) et al.

Did suffer a back injury when I leaped in the air at a Fevola goal (i think) and landed on my spine on a railing. Nearly passed out. But the win dulled the pain.

I think Jarusa would've revived me if I'd gone down by splasing at least part of a pot on me.

Atmosphere was exhilarating wasn't it Laguna.

Memo AFL: the day Grand Final has none of this atmosphere because so few of the competing teams' supporters get seats.

I for one hated the Dome when the Saints first moved there, but a few years on, it's the best stadium to watch a game at IMO

40,000 NavyBlue supporters cheering, crying & absolutely going delirious.......nothing better in footy. It was a magnificent night & probably the night we will look back and say "Carlton's night of the second coming".

PS. Memo to AFL: Promote you blockbusters "StKilda vs Geelong" all you like but the real deals are there to be seen by all and sundry.

The problem Blue Bird is that the AFL dont respect and value the support of the average member and supporter and the commitment of these supporters who attend week in, week out during the H+A

It is all the corporates and 'favours for the boys' that fill the stands come GF day. Corporate packages and favours for sponsors and mates is what matters more to the AFL gestapo. It is public knowledge that the AFL allocates an amount of seats equalling 1/3 of the membership numbers of the participating clubs and this is simply an insult to the common folk that fork out hard-earned to buy a membership. Nothing gets done about it though!!!

Could you imagine membership numbers per club if every member was guaranteed a GF seat if their club got through. Carlton would have 50K+ members easily.

For the record.......some people just love to aggrevate others........
I always supported a move away from OO for the majority of our games.
A move to the right ground "MCG" should have been our priority. Many reasons again.
We should have played interstate teams (Port Adelaide,Fremantle,WestCoast, Adelaide) at OO.......many advantages and will not be going over this again.

They where my points. Your point was?

PS. Hope our ground related injuries are kept to a minimum towards the end of the year. Hard surfaces can really make the body saw.

I watched the replay with my old man when we got home from the game, and I can tell you the crowd noise came through very well, especially when Prender kicked that goal. I swear the camera shook! The only bad thing about the replay was Dermott Brereton's inane speeches (yes, speeches. He doesn't actually comentate, he talks like an old windbag)

Dermie is a wanker.

As soon as he comes onto SEN in the afternoons i turn off. Listening to him is painful!!!

Jack came across as being very very bitter. Not doing himself any favours at all. Needs to just suck it up and move on

The crowd noise in no way came across on the TV I didn't think. It was loud sure, but at the ground it was DEAFENING
