Where do we begin?.....wherever you like!

Helen D'Amico chasing Bruce Doull?

Teddy Hopkins 4 second half goals?

Piggy Harmes miskick/chase and swipe to Bomber for a goal?

Jezza's left foot across his body snap that tumbled through for the sealing goal in the 1970 GF?

Harry Maddens legendary run and bounce goal in the 2nd semi against Adelaide at Waverley in '93?

The Buzz with his smother on Nankervis and goal from the boundary in the 2nd Semi against Geelong at Waverley in '81?

Fev's incredible goal from the boundary 70 yds out against Adelaide?

I'm in danger of hogging this thread here....what are your favourites?

The Koutafides quarter against the Bummers,
Harry's run and bounce and goal past me in 1993 was majestic,
The tackle on Wallis to win us the prelim,
Any one of Diesel's 40 possy games,
The SOS 10 goal haul against Footscray??? Need some clearing up here...

One day till I am on the booze again, and counting down...

Hey Big Tee.............

Fitzroy mate............!

everything everyone has said is a great memory.........!

i agree with all.......also for me.....seasons 81-82
allowed me to walk tall as a Carlton person.........i was
able to make arrogant bets at the start of each year........!

Carlton WILL win the flag this year............!

95 of course gave me the same feeling......same bets......
funny how we just "knew" those years........!

but.....the 5 minutes after the 99 prelim.......was a
moment i will never forget........!

the tears.....the elation.......i was shaking..........!

like i'm sure we all were............!

kindest regards tommi

ooooh oooooh............before the last game at
home last year........when they lined up our
Premiership Cups.........and there was a celebration
of what the Carlton Football Club had achieved in
it's time there..........!

sure the result wasn't great.........but the whole
Big Nick....Kouta stuff after the siren.......well it
brought a tear to a glass eye.........!

i don't have a glass eye..............!

it's acrylic...........!

Sorry Tommi, you're right... Sticks did it against Footscray... either 10 or 9 but a big bag. I was at both of them...

- Harmesy's Tap in 79
- 99 prelim and Frazer's Tackle, I was buzzing for 20 mins after that tackle. Maybe the best moment for me. You just knew that smug b@stard Wallis could have bombed it long into the forward line but he chose to get around Brown to prove a point etc, well guess what buddy, your whole season down the S Bend! Cop that one matey!!! BBBWWAHAHAHAHA, I still get a laugh and a buzz when i think about it.
- Diesel, one word, one name, one man. When diesel was playing well it was like we had 3 extra players on the park. Hard as week old cheese too, used to see him cop one in the 1st qtr and then nothing, nothing, nothing, massive pile of players in the centre square, ump calls a ball up, bodies untangle as players get up and at the bottom of the pack is the bloke that hit Diesel earlier in the game.....bleeding profusely from head, face etc etc. 1-all. Diesel always seemed to square up, somehow!
- I cant remember the games but I remember Wayne Johnston & Kenny Hunter being huge favs of mine when I was a kid. I remember watching Johnno bide his time, watch and wait until an umpire looked away and then fair full-on belt some Collingwood bloke in the face not 10 feet from me on a cold Princess Park arvo back in the early 80's. No cameras around back then, beautiful stuff!! Also remember Mum sewing 'Ken 9 Hunter' onto the old duffle coat.

The Centenary match against Coll, when it dawned on me that we had bought an absolutely brilliant player to the Blues:

Superb choice CK. I was with three Collingwood supporters that night, and we'd only had a four day break from the previous game against Footscray. I've still got the 'Record' in all its glory.

My three favourite moments are:

* '79 Grand Final
* '93 Night final when we beat Essendon* (it was the night of my wedding reception, and funnily enough, the marriage ended in a similar way to that season for us).
* '95 Home and Away game against Geelong. Superb standard of footy and a close result in our favour.

The best timed smother and goal ever!

That same GF....when Graham kicked out to Chopper Handley in the pocket; and Diesel came in from the side and outmarked him....went back and slotted the goal....how good was that?

I liked how one of Diesels goal 'dribbled' along the ground :garthp:

what about Harrys 100 m sprint (or was it just that he couldn't stop or turn?) that saw him end up in the goal square on his own for the handball from Earl?

Any of Peter Dean's smothers in 1995 to go with Earl's ripper

"Starts right...swings back...WHAT A GOAL!" The final Carlton goal in 1999 PF

The tackle a few minutes later

Harmesy's tap to Sheldon - Watching the 79 GF I still can't believe it

Any of the 28 goals in 1972 - another GF that's lots of fun to watch

In the last quarter of Rd 2 this year, we forced the ball forward 50 metres or so while Essendon* was in posession all the time with great tackling, harassing etc. The sort of spirit we need.
